What did you do to your TJ today?

Installed some custom sway bar disconnects on the Heep

    Fox Shock Bumper

It does not. I cycle tested a few times, even with Swayloc and shocks disconnected the tire is still spaced out far enough from the hose. My only concern is the hose touches the tower. I know its braided, but I might add some extra protection.

    Fox Shock Bumper

Great recommendation! I need to modify them a little further since there are some bolt holes I use that it blocks but it gets the job done. I still wish the hose was longer but I can address that when it comes time for a rebuild or having them tuned.

How To LS Swap Your TJ

I started with no lift of any kind. However, my biggest interference is exhaust to front drive shaft which I ran without one for a year so it was a non-issue at the time. When I got the front DS installed, I still ran it for a few months both on and off road and the exhaust slowly just self...

    Trackbar to Diff Interference

To follow up now that I am home from my dune trip. Got the front track bar completely removed and had to use a big wrench and pipe to remove the frame end joint. Threads were apparently fine so I did not need to wait for a tap but glad I played it safe regardless. Having the threaded stud...

    Fox Shock Bumper

That is hopefully the goal soon to outboard the rear for sure. Considering the fronts, but not definite on that yet. I got a summer packed full of fun with the TJ the big stuff will happen over next winter.

    Fox Shock Bumper

So basically requires clocking the hose and mounting like this?

    Fox Shock Bumper

Easy enough! Also I have a little issue trying to mount the reservoir. I have a little less than stock Moab back space with 265 tires and the tire rubs the reservoir at full flex and turning the wheel. Any suggestions on how to mount?

    Fox Shock Bumper

So I am getting my new Fox shocks in place and was wondering if the bottom out bumper is needed if you have the Jeep bump stops set correctly. This bumper takes about 1/2” of the stated travel so I assume there is still more stroke internally?

How To LS Swap Your TJ

I have been running mine capped off for awhile and its been fine. I put the AC accumulator in that space and I want to relocate the canister, but I have many other projects to deal with first.

How To LS Swap Your TJ

What intake manifold are you using? I used a TBSS and there was a small port on the passenger side to hook up the vacuum source line. I think regular truck manifolds are roughly same location. Basically you need to replicate the factory lines and connect the end with the red arrow to a small...

    Trackbar to Diff Interference

I got the weld-on equivalent to what is on there currently which is 2in narrow body and only 1.80” long.

    Trackbar to Diff Interference

So I made an offset JJ with one of weldable housings and a 1”-14 bolt that I took an end-mill to. I tried to swap it out today but I think the threads are a little messed up since I could not easilly rotate it off. I have a trip next week so I wont be swapping it yet since I dont want risk...

    Bumper Rust Prevention

My frame has actually been doing great. I used the same primer and cheap Rustoleum flat black paint. Couple spots here and there of surface rust breaking through but nothing too bad.

    Bumper Rust Prevention

There are nylon bushings in there currently. I have been thinking of replacing all the pivot points with heim joints or go fancy with Johnny Joints so I can always have spares with me in case of critical control arm joint failure which does not really seem like much of a thing with JJs. But...

    Bumper Rust Prevention

So I am looking for ways to minimize rust building up on things like bumpers, tire carriers, axles etc. This is about a year of having this sand blasted entirely and coated with primer and bed liner. I am probably going to see about having all this stuff stripped again and redo it, but I was...

JK Front Axle Center Section Swap

I ended up finding a set of TJ Rubicon axles for the price of a non-Rubicon rear Dana 44.

    Fox Shocks Stem to Eyelet

Correct, I have been cycle testing the suspension front and rear a lot lately. I figured out the Fox shock that is one step shorter would fit perfect. These particular shocks in question actually would maximize what I can do in the rear. When trying to physically push the axle down while...

    Fox Shocks Stem to Eyelet

I am only a 2in lift so my non outboard options are closer to 8in travel. While I agree if I was starting from scratch I would figure out how to get 11-12” in the rear, I have these right now and can put them to good use and exceed what I can do for the rear. I have them on marketplace for a...
