    LJ rocker guards

I took my little 2” lifted LJ thru the trails in the Black Hills with the Rugged Ridge LJ sliders. Banged em hard a few times and they held up fine. I didn’t like the textured finish they came with so I put a few layers of paint on them to make them more black. For what you want to use them for...

Any tips on driving my Jeep from from NY to OR?

I drove my YJ all over when I was in my 20s. IA to CA, CA to TX, back up to IA; lots of detours in between. I did have my water pump break down on me as I went through the Rockies. Other than that, smooth sailing. Best of luck and hope it works out for the best!

    Front driveshaft question

I got a Tom Wood rear driveshaft this year, can vouch for how solid they are! It arrived 2-3 days after ordering too. I did have my front rebuilt tho, found a shop that did it for $250 with spicer ujoints, so it can be worth the time to call around and ask…

42RLE shift cable mount point pic request

Can someone with the 42rle take a look and confirm for me that this looks right? I was fine tuning my TC shift cable and somehow knocked the transmission shift cable off. There is a nipple on the transmission shift bracket, and I can’t get it to pop into the plastic piece (part of the cable) any...

    Another thanks thread

Nice, I will hit you up. I’m in Prior Lake, so right on the SW edge of the cities. I don’t have any concrete plans to go up, but was thinking sometime in August. Let me know if you’re planning a trip up. Not sure what I’ll need for takeoffs at this point that I don’t have already but if I come...

    Another thanks thread

Just wanted to say thanks from a mostly silent lurker who has learned so much from this site. I grew up working on our cars with my Dad so I definitely owe it all to him, but even after going to college and working in IT sales, I'm still wrenching...and although its a love/hate relationship, I'm...

    Best Lift for 32" tires?

I’ll agree with what @LukesfirstJeep said. I put together my own kit with 32s (stock Ravines with spacers), OME springs and Rancho shocks and ended up adding an adj rear track bar plus a 1” BL. No vibes so I didn’t drop the skid or do anything with the control arms. I did add Rubicon stock...

Possibly got the wrong Rancho shocks

I know brother, same here. I put off buying my new ones for 500 miles or so but I have a few wheeling trips planned so had to bite the bullet. Hopefully I can sell them on here or locally to recoup some losses

Possibly got the wrong Rancho shocks

Well, if you have a big heavy bumper and a big winch etc, it will lower your overall height gained from the lift. Mine lowered .5” when I put the winch and plate on. So yeah, the goalposts do move depending on what you end up doing with it. I would say the fix for this would be not to have...

Possibly got the wrong Rancho shocks

I have a winch/plate and stock bumper and have the same problem. I don’t plan to put a new bumper on anytime soon but my RS55128 shocks are also too short, similar measurements to what you got. I just ordered the 239’s to replace these which will put me at close to a 50/50 bias. Same with the...
