    Lowering my TJ

As we (wife and I) have gotten older it is getting harder to get in our TJ. It currently have a 4 inch lift and 33's. What would all need to be changed, parts wise, as I can do the work myself, if I wanted to go to a 2 1/2 or 3 inch lift. I would go to 31's or 32's at the same time. We don't...

    FREE Free TJ bumpers

Surely someone in North Central AZ can use a set of factory bumpers (in great shape). I have the milk jugs to go with them, or they can be shortened if you want. All you got to do is pick them up in Chino Valley. I hate to haul to salvage, but I want them out of my shop. Thx

    Awesome pic

Stopped over at my friends house (Bob Riggle aka. Hemi Under Glass) to look at a car that another friend of mine was interested in. I saw a pic in his living room and asked if I could copy it, to which he said sure. Several years ago he was doing an exhibition and the Blue Angels were there...

Gettin' my other ride ready for summer

Recently sold my Harley TriGlide, that I have had for the last 5 years. I have ridden Harleys almost all of my riding life, but steering a trike is hard on the shoulders, and I have some arthritis starting. So I recently bought a 2018 CanAm Spyder F3 Limited from a friend. He bought it new...

Made a change to my ride

I have been a Harley rider for most of my life. Five years ago I broke down and bought a Harley TriGlide (trike) as two wheels on long trips was getting a little difficult due to bad knees. Well fast forward to this year and arthritis really getting bad in my shoulders. Anyone who has ever...

    What winch?

Friend of mine just ordered a 2021 Wrangler V6 auto 2 door. Bought about every option they have. Asked me what winch would be best for him. I said Warn, but wasn't sure about the various models. He will do difficult and less trails only. No serious rock crawling. What would be a good model...

What additional parts will I need for a tummy tuck?

Thinking about a TT (full or partial) since I want to do new skids to protect trans and engine too. 2003 TJ auto with 4in SL & 1.25 BL. Already has SYE/DC. Rear control arms are not adjustable, but bottoms are aftermarket in the correct length so angles are fine. What additional parts will I...

No air from defroster on 2003 TJ

I did a search on this and it seems that if you have a vacuum leak it defaults to defroster. No matter what setting I use it comes out the dash vents.

    Air compressor for trail use

I only seem to get about one ride per month (sometimes less). I have 33x12.50x15 KO's. I normally run 25psi and air down to 12psi. I am looking for a decent portable or on-board compressor. I don't need a super fast one, but don't want to waste a lot of time airing back up. I have looked at...

Today we did Smiley Rock with our friends Carmel and Jerry. Just for info, both Jeeps have 4in lift & 33's. Was a great trip. We started this morning in Chino Valley (our home) at 8am. We arrived in Jerome just before noon, and stopped for lunch at the Haunted Hamburger. We covered a total...

Issue with 2003 TJ multi-function switch and high beams

Seems my MFS switch is bad. I can pull back on it and the brights come on, but when I let go they turn off. I have heard there are tabs that wear out and cause this. Can those tabs be fixed or do I need a new MFS? Thx Rick

Emissions lines on top of gas tank

The are a bunch of lines ( I think there are 4, but don't remember for sure) that run side to side on top of the gas tank. They are held in place by a 'plastic carrier' that snaps into another 'plastic' piece that attaches to the top of the tank. Mine are no longer holding. I can't seem to...

    Fuel pump issue

My Jeep has always been slow to start (seldom on first crank). Luckily it has a Schrader valve, so I got a loaner gauge from Autozone and tested it. I only had 39 # of pressure and the gauge immediately drops to zero when I shut it off. So I guess it is time for a new pump. Do I need the...
