Have had a few bad remans lately for other projects, and satisfied with stock configuration, so what I am asking is: What new alternator manufacturer have you had good experience with? (2006 Rubicon 4.0)

That’s exactly what I had in mind. I can leave the Old Town at my uncle’s cabin, and get it to the river and back without any extra gear. I think I even have a few of those blue foam block gunwale things lying around, but noodles would work great.

I am in Leesburg, 20175. It’s a stock front driveshaft for a Rubicon, but I can check the measurement as installed. I guess yoke face to yoke face?

Looking for rebuildable spare. ‘06 TJ Rubicon, 6 speed manual. If you upgraded, I’ll take that old one in need of repair off your hands.

My thinking is that CO2 might be more reliable and less trouble than the currently problematic air pumps I have, and it would also function for airing up. But then again, that is why I’m asking.

Has anybody ever done away with air pump actuators for their lockers, and replaced with regulated CO2 pressure?

Found the u-joints at Quadratec for almost half the price of Advance. Plus they had the centering yoke at a good price, too. The seal I will get from Amazon or eBay. If I need new yoke bolts I will get them locally. Denny’s kit would have been a little cheaper - and a lot easier!
