Maybe but, I will do the mid arm this summer and see where I want to go from there. I have already done the outboarding. The stretch is out on the horizon as far as plans go. I may end up just stretching the frame 6" and cut off whatever sticks out the back.

Agreed. I have a blast with my TJ on 35's even though I still have a ways to go with it. I am usually the smallest rig on the runs I do, but I can hold my own. I find myself wishing for more wheel base more often than bigger tires.

Sounds like you have already decided the tire is unsafe. Your peace of mind is probably worth the price of a tire.

I run BFG KM3 in 35/12.50R17 load range “E” and am very satisfied with them . I drop to 10 psi when wheeling and 25 psi on the road. Super tough and well behaved.
