What did you do to your TJ today?

Thanks. This Colorbond LVP product worked great. I got the full lineup from their website; prep, adhesion promoter, color, and clear coat (satin). I used half the can of adhesion promoter, 1.5 cans of color, and half a can of clear coat. I have leftovers of each if I ever need to reapply. I...

What did you do to your TJ today?

I wasn't planning on getting to the half door exteriors today, but I dug in. Hot damn, I've been wet sanding them for hours. Totally lost track of time. I think I'm packing up for the night. However, the interior panels at least now look the part.

What did you do to your TJ today?

Between coats on passenger panel now. Decided to check how close. Not too shabby. I'm good with this. (I set it up to approximate the light that's hitting the full panel, because it does photograph lighter in direct sunlight.)

What did you do to your TJ today?

I don't know what they did, honestly. I went over many threads here looking at comparisons and knew what I didn't want. I see people paint them black and I know my full door panels are almost black, but not totally black. The interior latches and handles are darker. So that threw out the really...

What did you do to your TJ today?

In case the question comes up, I went with "Dark Slate". Label: Cap vs. Product: I went with Dark Slate for two reasons; one, that's what my build sheet says for interior color, and two, I have two-tone (black/charcoal) seat covers. So even if it's slightly lighter than the original...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Taking advantage of decent weather (and lower humidity) to get some things sprayed. Start: Two coats in: Happy so far.

What did you do to your TJ today?

Yikes. Hope everyone was ok after that one. Will do. Still working on the lower doors. I won't be ready to deal with the uppers until (probably) April.

I have thought about you posting this image ever since I bought (and began refurbishing) an old pair of doors and uppers.

Reliable Multi Function Switch Part Number

I'm one of the ones that went with RockAuto and WVE parts: https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/wells-vehicle-electronics-wve-multi-function-switch-connector.72293/

What did you do to your TJ today?

I drilled out the bent and busted door loop screw barrels on the half doors I'm refurbishing. Detailed thread/post: https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/door-loop-repair-rivet-nut-nutsert-question.76991/post-1513085

Door Loop Repair (Rivet nut / Nutsert question)

After putting off drilling out whatever the previous owner tried to do to these doors (other than make holes and mar paint), I finally got the nerve to drill. I started with the passenger door because it was the worst. I thought it would be a pain (for me) because the barrels on the backing...

Door Loop Repair (Rivet nut / Nutsert question)

I'm needing advice on how to proceed with drilling and adding rivnuts/nutserts to get footman loops back on a pair of doors. Whoever previously owned them stripped or broke the original bolts for both doors' door strap loops. On the passenger door they drilled out new holes. The ones on the...

    Half Door Seal Template (Loan/Buy)

I'm curious if anyone who bought the MOPAR half door seals still has their plastic "drill here" templates and would be willing to let them go or loan them out? If you're fine letting them go, my plan (after I've drilled my doors) is to share them on down the road with whoever needs them next...

    Bench-checking blower motor resistance

Question for the sages: Does removing the blower motor and checking its ohms via multi-meter give any indication to the motor's serviceability? If so, is there some numerical value that would indicate this item is bad, time to replace? Background: My HVAC control plate is becoming warm to...

Wells Vehicle Electronics (WVE) Multi-function Switch & Connector

Like many others, my multi-function switch had begun to act up. My fog lights were not turning on by themselves, but if I was driving with the lights on and hit a good bump, I would get a long series of warning beeps. No engine light or anything else, just 10+ beeps. The first time it happened...

Sanity check before I drop some money

In December I experienced a flashing check engine light while driving. I replaced all 4 O2 sensors and those seemed to smooth everything out. That thread: https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/check-engine-light-flashed-while-driving.67087/ Since then I've experienced two instances of hesitation...

    Thank You, OBD2 Scan Tool!

I recently replaced all of my O2 sensors (Thread: https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/check-engine-light-flashed-while-driving-recommendations.67087/) and felt like that had been successful. No new CELs, no rough idle, and no hesitation. However, at the time I didn't really watch any live data...

Check engine light flashed while driving

TLDR: I experienced a flashing CEL while accelerating this morning. This happened twice during the initial part (less than 4 miles) of my morning commute. It only occurred as RPMs went over 3,000. The Jeep felt as if starving for fuel but did not choke out. Weather was low 60s and heavy, dense...

    WTB: Back-end of PCM Connector

I have a PCM connector where out of its four connecting tabs that hold the back piece to the actual 38-pin connector, the top two tabs have broken off. The result is that the whole of the connector looks like it is leaning down. It seems likes its still locked in place on the PCM but I don't...

Planning Tie Rod (ZJ) Replacement; Question on Drag Bar

I'm considering upgrading from the stock TJ track bar tie rod to the ZJ bar rod. I have several leaking or busted boots on these components and figured if I'd be taking things apart, I'd just upgrade the bar rod. (It helps that Rock Auto has a 10% sale on some Moog components as of this post)...
