Remove/Replace Seat Cushion 03-06 Front Seat

Disregard. I found the little lever under the seat. I don't know why I didn't see it yesterday but it jumped out at me as soon as I looked at it today. Job done. I did notice when I removed the seat covers that the material is very worn and won't last much longer so I ordered a set of new...

Remove/Replace Seat Cushion 03-06 Front Seat

Great write-up. I just did the same job today. I think I screwed up somewhere along the line because I can't get the seat to roll and tumble after I completed the cushion replacement. I must've disconnected something along the way. This means I can't get at the back two bolts to secure the...

    Oil Pressure Question

Great answers guys. Thank you all for the input. I will be doing an oil change in the next few weeks. What grade oil would you guys recommend for the Irish climate? The same oil will be in it all year round and it's very mild here.

    Oil Pressure Question

I know there have been numerous threads previously about oil pressure. However, I'm going to throw in a twist. My TJ is an export Model 2002 Sahara. When I start it up in the morning the oil pressure seems quite high and the faster I go, the higher it seems to get. After about 10 minutes of...

    Check Engine Light

My check engine light came on a few days ago. I turned the key 3 times and the code came up for O2 sensors (as expected). The light's been on for a few days now. I have the 4 new sensors all ready to be installed and I have the required tools to do the job. Thanks to my reading of this...

I just took another look at the top. It's split in two right down both sides. Anybody need side windows?

    Putting the hardtop back on

So....I was trying to decide whether to bother putting my hard top back on for the winter. It had been sitting outside the house for the last few months since I replaced it with a soft top for the summer. Last night. the decision was made on my behalf. There was a "Wild Atlantic" storm, which...

    VIN decoding question

My Jeep was also an export and I purchased it in the UK. However, it was imported to the UK from Japan. It is a 2002 Sahara and when I checked the VIN, the 6th digit was "5". Maybe the "N" is a UK specific thing?

    Stripped front oil pan bolt

WTF do "Mackerel in the moonlight" smell like? I live in a very remote area by the Atlantic Ocean where everybody goes out on boats to fish for mackerel. They are going to think I'm a bit weird when they see me outside in the moonlight sniffing mackerel. WTF do "Mackerel in the moonlight"...

Were these factory wheels an option on TJs?

    Maybe it's an "export" thing?

Were these factory wheels an option on TJs?

I believe they are they same stock rims that are on my 2002 Sahara.

Mechanic telling me Jeeps just leak

For what it's worth , I bought a 2002 TJ sight unseen, imported from Japan through the UK to Ireland. There has not been a single drop of oil under the Jeep even though it's been parked for months at a time at the airport while I was overseas and I'm quite certain it sat for quite a while in...

    What's everyone's gas mileage?

It seems I screwed up the conversions from kilometers to miles and liters to US Gallons. I did it again and it came to 15.2ish. My speedo is in KM and I buy fuel in liters, so it's a little bit more complicated to get the gas mileage in MPG.

    Soft top header adjustment

I just spent this weekend installing a brand new Bestop soft top on my TJ. It was a nightmare. I was in an area with no internet available so I had to wing it on my own. I followed the instructions to the letter but there was no way that I could get the top to fit. The header was about two...
