    Hardtop storage

Ok....the debate rages on. Looking to build a storage rack for my hardtop. (97 TJ ) Most designs show vertical while some show a horizontal. Which is better for safety and retaining proper shape? Any design ideas also appreciated. Long live soft top season

    Running hot

As summer ramps up i have noticed my '97 Tj is running hot. In that i mean that even with roof and doors off the engine compartment seems to be generating an excess amount of heat. My right foot was scorched this past weekend Oil is clean, fluids are fresh and topped up, stock filter is clean...

Thanks....i am such a newbie. I don't even know how much of a lift it has ( if any) and whether it already it just needs some brackets and a stock track bar....Guess i need to figure that out

Would a rear track bar help with the axle being off center?

Thanks. I need to get the work done before i can get it a safety and officially on the road. Now i am getting info that it should already have a track bar, (which i don't know if it has). and that if i get brackets i can install a stock one. Such a newbie

Would a rear track bar help with the axle being off center?

My '97 seems to have a rear alignment issue. Right tire sticks 4' outside the fender flair whiel the left is around 3'. The reverse is noticeable underneath as the LEFT tire seems to be closer to the springs. There i a minor lift (2-3 in max). Would the addition of an adjustable rear track bar...

Let's see photos without the sport bar pads

I am new to this forum and just snooping around. I came across this photo (the red one) and love the way it looks. The stance, the appropriate height, the perfect tire size. That is what i aspire mine to end up like. Was hoping we could chat and maybe i could pick your brain on what it took to...

    Tire advice for 97 TJ

Thanks. I guess i have more research to do. Wish it was closer. Currently in storage out of town. ( Canadian winters). I am looking into getting new rubber and looking for advice on sizes. 305's on it now are too big for what i want and not likely to be doing much, is any. driving off road.

    Tire advice for 97 TJ

Thanks for that information. That really helps with gearing ratio if i go with the 255's which would be 3.7. If i am reading you correctly. So you think that moving from stock 215's up to 255's is enough of a leap. Way down from the current 305's.

I will be doing 80-90% road driving but looking for something that say Jeep, looks Jeep, but rides better than off road mudders. So you are saying i should go with the 255/70 tires ?
