    Front transfer case yoke runout

I spent a ton of money and probably close to 6 months trying to fix it. Finally did the hubs and never looked back. Probably put 20k mikes on it after that and never had any issues.

    Front transfer case yoke runout

Yes, I fixed it but I sold it last year. I finally ended up just doing a Yukon locking hub kit, when the hubs were unlocked the front shaft didn’t spin. Problem solved but it also cost me $3000

What is the best riding and performing lift kit for my 2001 TJ?

Having this same exact conversation on a FB Jeep forum with people insisting you can tune a spring and a shock has nothing to do with the ride. 🧐

    Actual seat upholstery (not covers)

TJ seats are fairly easy, let them sit in the sun for a bit before you try to put them on. Sometimes slipping a garbage bag over the foam makes the cover easier To slide on. Just make sure you can rip the bag and slide it out.

Manual Locking Hub Conversion with RCV Axle Shafts?

If anyone is looking for a set of spares of the Yukon locking hubs for the 5x5.5 kit I have a brand new set in the box, + complete sets of bearings for both sides, and two sets of seals for both sides. I had these as spares when I did the conversion on my Lj and I sold the Jeep. $300.00 plus...

New weather strip made the door not close

make sure it closes all the way and leave it closed. It will eventually compress the seal. Had the same thing happen when I painted mine and replaced all the seals.

    Indiana Locking hub conversion parts

It killed me, guy drove it home in a snow storm and the roads are covered in salt! But it was an older guy, my guess is it will never see a trail again. But he was happy having some room in the back for the grand kids.

    Indiana Locking hub conversion parts

I haven’t been able to drive it since June of last year. I literally sold it hours ago. The guy walked in the garage, walked around it, and handed me my asking price in cash. It went that quick. I haven’t bought anything yet. Really going to try a new Rubicon, I drove one on vacation in Colorado...

    Indiana Locking hub conversion parts

I have sold the Jeep so I am going through some of the spare parts I have. I have a brand new set of locking hubs for a 5x5.5 hub kit, several new dust seals for the rotors, replacement bearing assemblies, and seals. Everything is new.

    Locking hub conversion parts

Well I just sold the Lj..... I have a brand new set of Yukon locking hubs for the conversion kit that I had bought for spares. I also have 3 or 4 grease seals, two complete sets of bearings, a set of the bearings for the outer axel shaft, basically all the parts needed to rebuild the hubs if it...

Advice Needed: Choosing a Manual Locking Hub Conversion Kit

I believe it’s the stock TJ rotor and they open up the center.

Looking at a Jeep that has been repaired from an accident

So just an FYI from someone that has been in the collision business 30+ years and have seen many car fax reports and has done post repair inspections on the vehicles. Car fax is not 100% accurate on their report. A perfect example is my wife’s Subaru, the car fax showed it was involved in a lt...

Looking for advice on potential LJ purchase

I have a Lj in NW Indiana that is probably cleaner than anything you will ever fine in the Midwest. Check the for sale area to see the listing.

Hate to say it but the day has come

Luckily enough two turns in the rear arms and The vibe is now gone. Still hurts me head to drive it but it’s at least vibe free again. My next purchase is 5 gallons of gas and a flare.

Hate to say it but the day has come

That’s the even bigger kick in the balls......with the hard top on so do I! Starts at about 65, must have added just enough weight to change the rear pinion angle.

Hate to say it but the day has come

I wish I could do that. Along with the new found tinnitus I have a also apparently have Hyperacusis, which is an increased sensitivity to sound. So for example the sound of my two dogs barking sounds like my ear is next to a Marshall stack amplifier at a death metal concert turned up full...

Hate to say it but the day has come

Well I decided to say screw it and I bought a hardtop. Put it on today and took it for a ride, it made the pressure in my ears and head 10 times worse. When I got back I couldn’t even sit in it while it was running it bothers me so much. So now I have a nice Lj with a hard top and soft top for...

Hate to say it but the day has come

Not necessarily tire noise. The F-150 has wind noise around the tops of the doors, it never bothered me until my hearing issues started, now it’s amplified. The wife’s Grand Cherokee is the exhaust drone at around 45-50. It’s certain frequencies that bug me.

Hate to say it but the day has come

I honestly kicked the idea around, but when I add up what I have actually spent on this thing over the last year or so I’m already well north of 20K. I will never get close to getting out what I have in this thing. Adding another $1500.00 and then the cost of painting the hard top because it...
