If you go with the bolt mounted hooks (OEM Style) I would caution you to not let anyone snatch you out of a bad spot. I was stuck years ago (back in 2007) in the mud and when I was snatched out it also pulled the welded frame nut through the frame.
Oh yeah those love bugs. I was camping at a mud fest a few years back and while I was out having fun in the evening my pop-up camper filled up with love bugs. Lol what a pain to clear it out. Lol
Even if you go up to the mountains (yes small eastern mountains 😁) you will still be dealing with muddy rocks very slippery and more mud lol unless you take a long wheeling trip out west

As far as the NV241 goes if you in the "2004 TJ Service Manual.pdf" on PDF page 1381 or search for "TRANSFER CASE - NV241" or document page 21-231 you will see the NV241 section of the service manual.
That is strange because the 2006 Service Manual I uploaded came as part of a 2006 Publication PDF Package.
It contains TJ, KJ, WK and XK manuals.
