    Sand Rails

Great info and i would imagine a rail like anything else on reliability-it can be or it may not be but there are a lot of factors that decide that from mechanical to owner to use of. Sounds like a lot of fun and they look it too. Maybe i can befriend someone locally that has one lol

2.5" lift turned out to be 3.25": Is this normal?

I recently added a 2.5" rated springs, shocks and adjustable track bars on mine at 68k miles After install and settled i ended up with +3.25 except the right rear at +3 Added 33x12.5x15 tires and total ended at +4.75 except the right rear at 4.5 (again a .25" difference) I figured my stock...

    Help with 327 SBC swap

OP, i went down a similar road before with a YJ and a 406 sbc, I used the th350 with the stock transfer case (i think it was a 231) added sye, Tom Wood did the driveshafts, springs over axle (again it was a YJ) and ran 35" Jimmy Dean cut boggers on a front 60 and rear 9". Have several 0's in...

    Sand Rails

I hear what your all saying and financially its probably a really stupid purchase, I see several for sale here in the area and the market doesnt seem to show a big resale value as most listed stay listed for a long time. I also can see it being like a boat, best days are when you buy it and...

What should I do to make it more agile and fun for daily driver?

Yeah no worries my offer was for the stock items not the full Jeep i have, plan to keep it if i understand your reply correctly. Good luck on your decision though whichever direction you decide

What should I do to make it more agile and fun for daily driver?

Not sure which part of CA your in but i have stock springs, shocks, links etc freshly removed from a 68k 02 x model if you get to AZ. Maybe we can work out a trade on something if you decide to remove items from yours

    Sand Rails

This may be posted in here somewhere but i haven't came across it yet. I have often wanted a rail, does anyone have experience with owning a sand rail ? Like everything else there is a shit ton of ways to go about these things but my thought is find a good running, reliable (as can be) fun rail...

    Need opinions on this TJ

What is a lifespan of the 4.0, I would guess with regular maintenance 200k or more but i have no idea ? 18 yrs old and 150k isn't excessive, resale later may take a hit on that though but depends what your plan is with a TJ ? Just asking because i have been down the 100/150k mileage thing before...

Questions and advice about swapping a V8 into my 2.5 TJ

The old school sbc option is a good choice InOmaha mentioned, the issue can be if it has emissions to be street driven. I went that route when i installed the 406 small block in the last yj i had (wasnt worried about emissions then). Around here a ls 6.0 with wiring, computer and pedal are...

Is there any way to avoid buying a new driveshaft for my Dana 44 axle swap?

Swapped a Dana 44 rear on my TJ and the driveshaft from having the original 35 was fine, also added a small lift at the same time so that may be a difference if yours is bottoming out.
