Will it cause issues if my ball joint is not fully seated?

Thanks I’m thinking that’s been my problem all summer. It has a really strange steering feeling . I’ve had I lined up two times. Caster and toe are correct and camber is within stock spec to. I’m thinking I just found my reason for the weird steering having. I’m gonna take it apart and look at...

Will it cause issues if my ball joint is not fully seated?

I was checking over my 2000 wrangler and I noticed that my right side lower ball joint was not fully seated in the c? I’ve been chasing a steering issue for some time now and was wondering if that will cause any stiffness or steering issues? It’s got a decent gap between the flange of the ball...

    Steering stabilizer question

I was tracking down an issue with my 2000 wrangler. Caster is at 6.5 and my steering felt stiff. Wherever I turn it will stay and not return to center even one inch.. I just took the steering stabilizer off and could barely push it in or pull it out. It’s super stiff. Then I went for a ride a...

Steering won’t return to center with 6.2 degrees of caster?

I just took it for a ride and noticed a small front brake line leak. Above the left front rail next to the steering box… could my brakes have been causing a sticky caliper from a leaky line. ? I’m gonna replace the section tonight but it must have had a small leak the whole time.

Steering won’t return to center with 6.2 degrees of caster?

Ok I’ll try lookin at the ball joints. I replaced all four with mevo tech off road ball joints. They were expensive but maybe they are the culprit all along. I’ll check and replace with spicer if need be. How do I tell if they are defective?

Steering won’t return to center with 6.2 degrees of caster?

Hi everyone. I’ve got a question. I’ve been dialing in my Jeep and I’ve got it driving very good. It tracks straight down the road and rides very well. No vibrations at any speed and I can let my hands off the wheel and it stays straight and true. My only problem is that the steering wheel...

Should caster be at stock specs with a 6” lift?

Hey jerry I appreciate all the help. I got my caster to 6.2 and it drives very straight. My issue now is that the steering wheel stays where I leave it with no return to center??? I checked the pillow block on the steering shaft and it’s a little wobbly and has up and down play. Feels hard to...

Hi I finally got my Jeep back from the third place because getting an alignment is a thing that nobody can do around here I guess. Any way my Jeep drives so much better and I drive it every day now. I m a first time Jeep owner and I can get this Jeep up to 65 on the highway no problem and I...

Jeep veers to the left and right at higher speeds

Hi guys I wanted to put up my new alignment specs. I finally got the Jeep driving really good but I still will not take it on the highway. It tracks great below 45 mph and handles good and I love it. The problem is that over 50 mph it seems to want to veer left and right through the steering...
