    Sticking gas pedal

I'll have to look at that. It's not too bad, just irritating when trying to go slow. Thanks for the advise.

    Sticking gas pedal

I'll check it out. Maybe it's bound up and it only takes a little build up to make it stick. So when I clean it, it frees up for a while, but then starts to stick soon after. Thanks.

    Sticking gas pedal

Hey everyone, hate to revive an old post, but I'm getting this exact thing with my gas pedal. I have 97 SE 2.5L 5sp. I cleaned up the throttle body (it didn't seem that bad) and the sticky gas pedal went away... for about a month. The thing is, the jeep is barely driven. I probably drove...

    Guiding the post Covid reality

Glad I’m in Florida. I’ve been here 30+ years. I’ll take FL over all the Dem run places, lol. I guess it’s pretty bad when the “Florida Man” actually looks like the logical one, lol. Even the Dem run places in FL look conservative compared to CA and like. As for what to do, move and take your...

    Quirks of the 97 model

I think the 8 additional gallons means it comes with gas, not additional capacity. I think I still have the 15.3 gallon tank. My 10th position is a V too. Not sure what that means. I used to be all into the mopar VINs when I had roadrunners and such... back in the day, pre-internet. Even...

    Quirks of the 97 model

I guess I assumed it was low optioned because of the radio delete, but it does list customer preferred packages 2TB and 23B, whatever those are. Also high back seats, carpet, and even the 8 additional gallons of gas, lol. I'm not sure what came standard and what were options. So maybe there...

    Quirks of the 97 model

Great thread. I have a 97 SE, 2.5, 5sp, no a/c, etc. It even had a radio delete according to the VIN decoder. So very little options evidently, build 01/96. I've only had for a couple of months. It's basically a beach jeep for Daytona. So it it looks cool (IMO), lifted, 33s etc. I don't...

    Anyone suffer from Gout?

I’ve had gout for about 25 years. It started in my 20s. I’ve tried everything, the cherries, the apple cider vinegar, no alcohol, no shellfish… none of it worked. Actually, the apple cider vinegar worked some, but I hate drinking it. I can’t tell you how many shots I’ve had because I couldn’t...

Thanks. I've been looking on and off for amount 6 months. The prices are crazy. Anything that is a lower priced is gone in hours. This was $6,200. Which I think was pretty fair. I think the 2.5L kept people away, but's all I need.

    I’m dumb

That reminds me of a parking garage I used to use in downtown Miami. If I had less than a quarter tank of gas the roof rack on my 2011 Expedition would slightly scrap the parts of the concrete ceiling on the 2 top floors. It actually took me two times to figure it out. But no real damage.

Hi everyone, Just got my first jeep. Always wanted one, but never had the real need for one. I’m glad I found this site, although, I think I’ll be slacking off on work for a while as I read through all of the info here…lol. This is my 97 TJ, 2.5L, 5sp. It’s pretty clean for being in FL. I...
