    Oil pressure rising

42rle, 3.73 gears, 33x12.5x15 tires. Cruising at 60-65 mph (about 2500 rpm’s) overdrive on oil pressure “normal”. Switch off overdrive( now running at 2800-2900 rpm’s. I can see the gauge slightly move up(1/4”). Switch on OD and oil pressure goes back to normal. Is this OK or should I be...

It was wonderful. Thanks to Dave, Chris, Bob, and Camryn. Nora, (my Jeep), made all obstacles. All credit goes to Nora and my spotters. Hardly even spun a tire. No lockers. I was very impressed with the ability of Nora. There was a lot of knowledge to be had out there on the trail, I hope I...

I’d like to go but am not sure if I can do Elvis. Box Canyon would be more my style. Are there bypasses for the tough obstacles on Elvis? Saturday 9:00.

Not going to make it. So much for plans. I was looking forward to meeting some forum members. I might just go to box canyon in Florence. It’s much closer.

In search of a better ride

Got the tires balanced and rotated. Speed specific vibrations appear to have gone away. However… there now seems to be very small vibrations at all speeds. No weights were used on outside of wheels, only the inside. Do I need “more” balancing?

Could this be the beginning of the end for the Federal Reserve Banks, the IMF, and the World Bank? I can think of worst things.

In search of a better ride

Been driving for a couple of weeks. Very nice. Feel more connected. Jeep powers through road irregularities under control. Still have steering wheel shimmy at around 25 mph. It used to shimmy at 55 mph. I must get tires balanced. @Chris “Trusted” tire balancing shop recommendations?

Don’t want to spend much. We can compare rides next week after I get my Jeep back. I look forward to experiencing a quality ride.

In search of a better ride

I run the tires at 28 psi. I’m going to lower it to 26. It appears the Consensus is that there’s quite a change between 28 and 24.

In search of a better ride

2005 lj with Rancho 3 1/2”-4” lift. Not a bad ride, a little jittery and maybe some bump steer. A Swayloc and Rancho 5000x(55255 and 55256) shocks will be installed next week. Also changing drop Pitman back to oem. Tire balancing to follow. Should one notice much difference in ride quality with...
