Random photos: Got anything interesting, unique, strange?

Saw this demon-faced cloud on my drive home yesterday. The face was super clear to the eye, much more so than the picture.

California What Trails in California Actually Require a Jeep?

you just like that for the factory grumper. OP: you'll probably be happier in the rav4. I suggest you get that, at least until you find yourself unable to go somewhere you want to go. Which is something that may or may not happen. I like going places that most people can't, at least not...

Oregon WTT: 6" springs and shocks for 4" springs and shocks

My 99 came with 6 inch lift springs and Bilstein 5100 shocks, and I'm looking to lower it a little bit. Let me know if you have 4 inch lift springs and want to go higher.

    No-hardware synthetic limb risers

Yeah if you're going to do a lot of limb crashing it'd be better to get brackets. I don't like pushing through brush either. Almost all of my driving is on clear roads and I don't like the overlander "bolt on every accessory possible to look cool" style, so I wanted something that's normally...

    No-hardware synthetic limb risers

This is what I had on hand. $30/100'. I didn't measure how much I used but I'm guessing it was less than 20' for the pair. About $6 worth. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NAIZU2C/?tag=wranglerorg-20

Maybe that's why I can't turn when stopped sometimes (scrub radius!)

Yeah I only notice it when locked and high traction. I get by with just a little movement but would like it to be better. I'm hoping some 15x8, 4" bs will be a significant improvement. Hydro assist would be sweet but not needing it would be even better.

Maybe that's why I can't turn when stopped sometimes (scrub radius!)

And here I thought it was just because I was on 35s! On a whim I decided to see what the backspacing of my wheels are. 3.5in. OK, not ideal but not uncommon. But these rims are 10", so the scrub radius would be like an 8" rim with 2.5" backspacing. Pretty sure that'd be a problem. I took...

    Toggling a Supercharger

Tuning for a toggled-supercharger shouldn't be much different than for a turbocharger. It doesn't need to directly know if it's on or off, fuel maps are tied to manifold pressure. The only benefit, besides the cool factor, would be slightly better gas mileage.

Am I the only one who thinks a snorkel on a TJ is crazy?

Oh I know it'll leak, and not necessarily from the top. That's why I pulled the drain plugs ;)

Am I the only one who thinks a snorkel on a TJ is crazy?

Who's had this problem? I haven't heard about it here. My hood is full of louvers and sits uncovered and hasn't had this problem. I have a pressure washer at home and will occasionally pop the hood to spray off the engine. Guess I've been lucky?
