I haven’t thrown the p0344 code again in about two weeks. Although I don’t go too high in RPMs because I’ve been driving within the city. I’m going to rest it out on the highway soon! I’ll definitely look into the AIP sensor.

@Prospect62 sorry for the late response but yes, I was able to get and replace it. Although, I do have a p0016 CEL. I went to the mechanic to get it aligned and the keep is still throwing the code. I’m also getting a code for the precats. I don’t know if that is related but it is running well!

The cam gear did have some wear on it but it did not look like some other pictures here on the forum that looked awful. I would say it wasn’t that bad. Could that be the issue?

Update: I was able to remove the OPDA in the car. The previous owner must have used RTV to put that unit in because it seemed like it had RTV where the gasket would be. I then placed the new one in after aligning the pin holes correctly, placed it in with the old Mopar sensor which was...

This is the best pic I got from under the OPDA. There is enough space to slide a pair of channel locks to try and twist it out. I’ll give that a try as soon as I can get to it!

That’s my next step. I just didn’t want to damage anything. This issue is a huge PIA. I’ve been battling it for 2 weeks. Hopefully I will get it solved soon!
