    Very Confused... kinda

Ha! It’s always funny when you are questioning something and you find the answer in one of your own forum questions from years past. :geek:

What did you do to your TJ today?

Adjusted my front upper control arms to achieve 6deg caster after installing the front four adjustable arms over the weekend. After having my frame kit installed, the welder attached my lower control arm mounts 3/8" off from each other leaving my axle crooked by .5". Adjustable CA were a must...

What did you do to your TJ today?

I did. Got a pretty nice gear pattern too. Once I finish my coffee it’s time to fill up the pumpkins and start the break-in process.

What did you do to your TJ today?

After a bunch of nonsense, I finally finished gearing to 4.56. While it was on stands, I also took the opportunity to: Install new rear axle seals w/ bearings Front pads, rotors & calipers Rear shoes, drums, & spring kit Clean & paint the drums, backing plate, and a few pieces inside the drum...

What did you do to your TJ today?

I’m doing the same as @Mudflat today, except in my garage at home because I’m cheap. Yukon 4.56 all around, up from factory 3.07. This oughta be fun. 🧐

Why are so many oppose to putting a jack on the hood?

Ok, so I left out the part where the retention clip was broken…. I still won’t put it or a new one back on lol. I’d rather not receive 50k emails letting me know that someone else thinks my opinion is wrong.

Why are so many oppose to putting a jack on the hood?

    … I won’t give in 😏

Why are so many oppose to putting a jack on the hood?

I still have it, but being a mechanic I prefer having the hood out of the way. Not to mention the prop would rattle around a decent bit on trails and even bumps in the road.

Why are so many oppose to putting a jack on the hood?

Just found my solution on another forum. Behind the spare tire on the carrier. Definitely DO NOT want to stir this pot back up haha.

Why are so many oppose to putting a jack on the hood?

Wow, I just read through this entire thread and part of me wishes I was never looking for an objective thread on Pros/Cons for hood mounting a farm jack. There was enough drama here to write a mini soap opera. I have a farm jack, I use the farm jack, and I was hoping to mount it somewhere that...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Strange... I’m similar to that with the 3.09s on 31x10.5, but I could cruise in 5th. Haven’t had it on the highway with the 33x12.5s yet.

What did you do to your TJ today?

Crap, I have the 5spd. What’s causing you to make the jump? Where are your RPMs at 60mph?

I like that answer. So far that’s three votes for 4.56. It’s currently in the lead.

What did you do to your TJ today?

I have to be honest, I’ve heard so many different views on this that my brain hurts lol. Originally, 4.88 was suggested, then XT said I’d be fine with 4.10s. This seemingly very knowledgeable fellow on YT gave a formula that calculated out to 3.73s. Before watching that video though I had...

    I do.

What did you do to your TJ today?

Even for a DD? I have a 60min commute, mostly highway and it only bogged down a little with the 31s. Thank you, it’s definitely been a work in progress and far from finished.

    Rough Country 4” Rework

Well, I ended up getting Skyjacker BlackMax shocks, Steinjager rear sway bar w/ F & R discos, 33x12.5 Dick Cepek Trail country A/T on ProComp 51 series steelies, all new exhaust except the manifold, and the tire carrier portion of my previously installed rear bumper. Oh, and complete drum brake...

    Rough Country 4” Rework

I’m a believer in doing it right the first time. The spacer bars are the first annoyance to me because they tell me something else should be done to accomplish that height. The shocks are terrible. The kit promotes itself as being a one and done setup, but it’s really not. There are so many...

    Rough Country 4” Rework

“There is probably an answer to this already somewhere on here” Feel free to link the snot out of this if I’m asking what’s already been asked. It’s bonus season at work and I have some play money to dump into the old empty pocket. I purchased it a while back and it already had the dreaded...
