I dug into it and what @Flyin' Ryan Performance said is true. You can use the 5.9 PCM just gotta have it tuned. At this point it doesn’t matter to me, 5.9 or 5.2. Whatever is the best deal basically lol.

Could I not get an older motor and just order a different PCM? This part has got me stumped lol.

If I have an 02 Jeep Wrangler what pcm do I need for mine? I’m planning on swapping in a 5.2 what year motor do I need to look for? I need a PCM for mine but I want the right one.

What everyone wanted. I mean almost everyone I talk too, sure with my 4.88s thw 4.0 has some pep to it. But nothing beats an 8 cylinder. Just even as enjoyment for street heading to the trail.

Absolutely. Honestly first goal was just to get it in and make it run, but like you pointed out WHILE you have it out, might as well do it. Any other tips you have? Maybe go ahead slot trouble shoots you had?

Thanks for all the info. I’ll have to call B&G and get it priced, and see about the pcm. I got the ecm and loom, bell housing, now I need to just plan the rest. Thankfully the wiring harness is done lol. Been reading on forums as much as I can, excited to start this fall and winter! I’m sure...

Okay so do you think I should do the 5.9? I thought the 5.9 was a little less reliable than the 5.2. Something with maybe the head? I’ve siffed so much info though who knows at this point. If I got a pcm out of a manual would I still have to send it to B&G? As always thanks for the response
