Tuffy glovebox just installed - my takeaways

I can confirm a 19X fits nicely. I use gun magnet adhered to side of the box. It allows pistol to rest on the felt in bottom of drawer but keeps it from bouncing around.

What the heck is in my radiator?

Per title above, can anybody help explain what’s in my radiator? Thanks in advance! Muddy

    Ball joints not the same

I am replacing ball joints in my 97 TJ. Noticed the upper ball joints seem to be different lengths-mounting taper to press shoulder. Am I missing something? Pictures coming… Thanks in advance, Muddy

    Driveline chirps - any suggestions?

I am experiencing driveline "chirps" consistently in my TJ. They are clearly linked to driveline RPMs and not engine RPMs. The sounds appear to be coming from front, passenger side. Any suggestions on what this may be or how to diagnose? Thanks in advance! - Muddy

Upgrading the sound system on your Jeep Wrangler TJ

My Jeep came to me with aftermarket Pioneer head unit, Sony Xplods 5.25s in the sound bar and pioneer entry level 4x6s in the dash. Even with hard top on, the head unit would shut itself down before I could achieve enough volume to drown out the road noise at highway speeds. Started by...

The MDF covering is a nice touch. Is that pattern Kryptek?

Upgrading the sound system on your Jeep Wrangler TJ

I really like some of the under rear seat (or even in the rear seat) sub installs I have seen on here. The only thing holding me back is that the inside of my rig sees a lot more water, and sometimes mud, than I care to admit. Anything in the floorboard is destined for water damage at some point.

Upgrading the sound system on your Jeep Wrangler TJ

Your setup must generate some SERIOUS audio output in something as compact as our Jeeps. This is the first I've seen of the speaker housings that fit between the roll bar and rear wheel wells. I will have to check those out! Are they made by Select Increments? Center console and rear storage...

Upgrading the sound system on your Jeep Wrangler TJ

Thanks, @toximus. The C2-525x speakers were the model I was looking at. Glad to hear you are having good results with them. If you were to do it over again would you stick with the coaxials up front, or run components with the tweeters in the dash/a-pillar area? @Reign Mack Wow, that amp gives...

Winch Selection For Heavy Water Exposure

A platinum Zeon was at the top of my wish list for sure, but ultimately I couldn’t justify the extra cost over regular Zeon. Too many other items demanding my attention and budget right now. Case in point, I’m replacing a leaky radiator right now. I have to paint bumper before mounting it, but...

Winch Selection For Heavy Water Exposure

Well guys, thanks for all the responses. I pulled the trigger this week on a Warn Zeon 10. I went with the steel cable setup as it was readily available and cheaper to go that route and source aftermarket synthetic rope to switch to. I’d ultimately like to end up with a TRE synthetic...

New Wrangler Owner From West TN

Have a new bumper sitting in the garage and a winch on the way. Trying to take it slow with upgrades and mods, but the addiction is real! And wrenching is half the fun.

Winch Selection For Heavy Water Exposure

@5632 I’ve heard great things about the HF Badlands Apex too. Specs say it’s sealed for water ingress too. I’ve had minimal experience with HF tools personally though (nearest one is almost 90 mins away) and every tool I have bought from them has broken. I love the symmetrical looks of the...

Winch Selection For Heavy Water Exposure

Thanks for the input, Irun. I’m seriously looking at going the same route buying a steel cable winch and swapping out for TRE line and safety thimble. Did you use a regular hawse fairlead or the one from TRE specifically designed for the safety thimble? And if you went with standard fairlead...
