    Stillwater range

Went for a day ride today out in the stillwater range local to me. This is my favorite area to ride and hang out in. Wanted to check the water flow from a long winter and the road damage. Lots of both. I'll go out again and dig some water bars and fix some roads. The desert is pretty when it's...

Tranny pan replacement, skid plate question

During a routine inspection, I noticed my tranny pan was leaking in the rear. It had only been 2 months since the last inspection, and it was dry. I went to check the pan bolts, everyone of them was loose. No where close to torque spec. Went to tighten them, expecting it to leak more, and it...

    Audio hobbies

Thought I'd share some of my other hobbies. Just finished this 18" home theater sub build. Uses a FI audio q18 with soft parts setup for home theater. 7cu ft tuned at 19hz. Running a crown xls 1002 as that is what I had already. First test tonight was rather impressive! Huge upgrade from the 15"...

Does anyone run Currie LJ springs on their TJ?

Hey all. Looking for a bit of info, or perhaps suggestions, on some new currie springs. I've been upgrading lift components, and want some new springs. I currently have 4.5" rubicon express springs, and would like some longer springs so they stay seated while flexing. I know the curries offer a...

    Deadwood Reservoir, Idaho Trip

Did a week camping trip with my brother out of the jeeps at deadwood reservoir in idaho. Trailered to idaho. First time hauling it, did great. We hit some pretty cool trails around the area, up by yellow pine. Its an amazing area with tons to see. Usually try to do a big trip there every year...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Not so much jeep related, but recently got a new trailer. Loaded the jeep on it today to measure out locations for additional d rings. Welded on 10 more this afternoon. Jeep fits on it well. 16', 10k lb straight deck. Excited to haul jeep to events as well as camping trips!

What did you do to your TJ today?

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075SYHYHS/?tag=wranglerorg-20 That's the bags. There are others to choose from on Amazon. My brother has had them in his JK for a number of years, heavily loaded without issues. They don't fit the tj cage exactly, but it's close enough. So far so good for me.

What did you do to your TJ today?

Its 5/8" baltic birch. I will have it sealed up well. Should be pretty much weather proof. It will be able to slide out of the back. I'm planning on using the two side bolts, assuming they were for the rear seat, and the one right in the middle of the floor to bolt it down. I have a bunch of...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Got all the pieces cut for rear storage setup. Right side holds a camping tote, left side is a little shorter. Compressor and other gear will ride there. A 10" subwoofer will be in the front, behind driver seat. Hopefully have it all put together this weekend.

What did you do to your TJ today?

Built my version of a tailgate table based on others I've seen. Made it to fit my camp stove. Has a couple of cup holders. Still need to route the edges, stain and seal it. Shouldn't have to pack a table anymore for camping! Will add a slide out cutting board to the bottom of it still. Should be...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Ya, its tires next after shocks. 4" bump stops keeps my 35s from rubbing. If I'm turned hard they still rub a bit of the stock fender flares.

What did you do to your TJ today?

The rears were more of a pain for sure. I had one bolt that needed a lot of PB blast. Was really hoping I wasnt going to break it

What did you do to your TJ today?

My replacement rancho rs5000x shock showed up this week from shock surplus. It had the same wrong bar pin as one of the first ones did. All three shocks have the same part number, but only one had the correct bar pin. I decided to just drill it out instead of waiting for another replacement. I...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Well, attempted to have a productive weekend working on the jeep. Wanted to put my new rancho rs5000x shocks on, and cycle the suspension to properly setup my bumpstops. I had the jeep on jacks, pulled the the old shocks, and dropped the front axle. I should have thought about it a little more...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Started forming my own offroad track in some rocks just minutes from my house. Decided to actually check tire rub and bump stops to see how much more I need. Previous owner went from 3" rubicon Express springs to 4.5 but didnt change anything else I don't think. Will go the hockey puck route...

What did you do to your TJ today?

I dont mind it. Probably not as good as the real thing, but doubt it makes it worse. Plus side is I have a lot of easy attachment points with the additional bars everywhere. Trying to use the limited space in a creative way.

What did you do to your TJ today?

Made a roof mount out of 7/8" unistrut to hold a shovel and axe, or anything else I want to attached to it as needed. The quick fists I had dont quite hold tight enough so I'll come up with something else. I did cut down the u-bolts so they are flush. Holds tight on the bars.
