    Fried PCM

Yeah, I've resoldered traces and connections on a lot of stuff that I couldn't otherwise replace when I had my restoration shop. Wasn't my favorite repair, but hey, sometimes there's no choice if you want something to work. However, neither your repaired computers or my repaired dash circuit...

    Fried PCM

I've fixed broken traces on circuit boards for my own use, but I'd never do it for a paying customer. If I get a couple of months out of a repair I did for myself, it's all good. If someone pays me to fix it and it fails, that's not a good thing.

    Thank you!

Funny, my first car was a '65 Rambler American 440H. I won't be tracking it down, as the junk yard I sold it to doesn't exist anymore. Later on I had a '68 Road Runner that met a similar fate.

Savvy / Currie / ORO discount codes and parts questions

Yeah, well, I closed my shop at the end of 2015, so that won't be happening. I think about $7k was the biggest card I ever processed, and when he asked if he could use a card I told him I added 3% for that. He was good with that, although anyone who would spend over $100k on a '66 Mustang...

What do I need to put JK wheels on my TJ?

I ran 1 1/2" spacers on my Sahara with rear disc brakes for a while. I had to swap out the rear studs because the originals were too short and the lug nuts only threaded on about half way. I ended up getting front studs and they were the right length for the rear. Also, later on when I got my...

    Help with Gears and Lockers

This is possibly the first time in recorded history I've heard of anyone driving a Jeep for the mileage. :ROFLMAO:

    Paint degradation

I was watching Lite Brite on Youtube. Their entire Jeep is wrapped with a custom printed 3M wrap. During some body repair work, they said that the wrap will hold up well to the brush scratches, and even self-heal somewhat. In their case (rock damage, not pinstriping) whoever printed the wrap...

Savvy / Currie / ORO discount codes and parts questions

Granted I've been out of this for a few years, but who does your card processing? When I took over my shop they were using Merchant Services. They charged a monthly fee on top of a percentage. Really added up when someone dropped a card to pay a $5k bill. I switched to Square when they...

    Paint degradation

Yeah, I was going to take the hood off to cut the holes in it anyway, so it wouldn't be that big a deal to take the cowl off at the same time. Heck, I might even loose the jack mounts when I go to put it back together (happens that I kept the stock hinge screws).

    Paint degradation

My hood and cowl vent panel are about the same as your Hyundai. I have a louver panel that I'm putting on it to cover the center section and was thinking of sanding and spraying the rest of the hood in a satin black at the same time. Now, after seeing this, I'm thinking a simulated carbon...

Rear seat belts with car seats

Bite your tongue. My 5 are all ages 38-50. We have fun together, but they bring their own vehicles now.

That's what I did on my last big order. Had a gift card from Christmas, got a $250 credit for applying for an Amazon card, and had a couple of hundred in cash back on my card. Got my flat fenders, rear flat flares, rocker guards, and hood louver panel for around $25 out of pocket.

My kids are all over 6'3". I couldn't get 2 of them in the back seat, much less 3.

    TJ towing a boat

I was towing a 1000lb utility trailer with an 800lb Harley on it with my YJ (factory tow rating 2000lb). Some stupid Karen stopped in front of me at a green light. I had the brakes locked up on the Jeep and I could feel that trailer pushing me into her Suburban. I don't worry about me...

Windshield washer fluid nozzles on 1998 TJ

Apparently, the change from 2 squirters to a single squirter was made sometime in January '02. Early build '02's got 2 squirters, later only got the single.

Does a cold air intake add power on a 4.0?

I wouldn't run a K&N filter on any of my vehicles if it added 50HP.

Or possibly a pressure washer. Looks like that stuff would flake right off.

    Coolant smell

I've been smelling mine for about 3 years when I run the heater only. I loose about a 1/2 pint of coolant between oil changes and have no signs of puddles on the ground or wet carpet. I'll get it done one of these days when I get a round tuit.
