Driver side front trackbar bolt stuck

Finally got around to replacing my Metalcloak trackbar with a Currie. Got everything bolted, took the jeep out for a test drive. No more squeaking but steering wheel is off center. Took it back in and read Blaine’s post about centering the axle and started to unbolt everything. Now the driver...

    Need advice on my suspension

I'm relatively new to Jeeps and could use some advice on next steps for my suspension. Most of my current setup (adjustable arms, track bars) is Metalcloak. I now know that it's not forum approved but some of it is from the PO and some from the time I didn't know better. Anyway, water under the...

Steering stabilizer mount with Currie steering

When I switched over to the Currie steering from stock, I had a reputable local shop do the work since I was also regearing and adding lockers at the time. I noticed that they welded on a new bracket for the steering stabilizer at the trackbar mount location instead of using the stock bracket...

Would it be worth ordering a spare set of knuckles with the Vanco big brake kit?

I’m going to install the big brake kit after some butt clenching experiences with the stock brakes on the freeways. I know that pads, rotors and calipers are compatible with widely available parts. I was concerned about the knuckles and mounting hardware. I know those are a custom Blaine...

Is my mechanic trying to rip me off?

So I have a G2 Dana 44 in the rear of the Jeep and wanted to convert the drums to disc brakes. I know, no braking advantage - I’ve read all the posts by Blaine and Jerry. I’m converting mainly because of ease of maintenance and to refresh the rear brakes. I’m looking at the Teraflex kit and...

    Trouble installing Rancho RS5000x shocks

Ok I got these installed. What a pain in the rear. For others, I inverted the bottom bolts, putting the nuts on top figuring I’d rather deform the bolt and the pins rather than the body mounts. For the top, after struggling with the spinning rod with an impact socket and an impact wrench, I had...

    Trouble installing Rancho RS5000x shocks

Yep exactly, the good one fits on either side. I'm starting to question my sanity now :D The other bolt isn't tightened down but I can't seem to line them up. I just measured the old rough country shock I took off for good measure and the mounting holes are about 2 1/2 center to center. These...

    Trouble installing Rancho RS5000x shocks

@SSTJ here are the photos. The hole is completely off from the mounting side. The other shock lined up perfectly and is currently installed on the passenger side, however I've tried it on this side and it works here as well.

    Trouble installing Rancho RS5000x shocks

Yeah, they are installed on the Ranchos. I'll post photos later after work. @TheBoogieman are you recommending cutting out the holes in the bar pins to make them a "wedge" like your photo? I was wondering about that, that'd certainly get them in.

    Trouble installing Rancho RS5000x shocks

I'm new to the forum so not sure if this is the right subforum to ask for help in. I'm frustrated and somewhat embarrassed from struggling with my Rancho RS5000x front shock install. I'm trying to replace the Rough Country shocks on my jeep from the PO. The rears were easy and so was taking...
