The 2024 Wrangler refresh has been announced and what peaked my interest the most is the Dana 44 rear is now full float and looks like they are using a unit bearing.

Just curious for front stretches. How far forward can the front track bar be moved before running into issues? What are some of the issues that come up when moving it forward to make room for uptravel?

I’ve seen it mentioned here a few times, has anyone done a rear stretch and moved the factory frame arches to center the axle with the stretch in wheelbase? Would love to see some pics and any real world observations on the up travel gains and limitations.

The genright stretch tanks make for more ground clearance if used in the stock locations, it’s usually an inch added ground clearance

Is it me or the angle the photo was taken from, the hole you cut doesn't look centered, leaving a gap that doesn't appear to be uniform around the center bore of the wheel and lockout... Any personal concerns about the integrity of the wheel from here on out? Without the center cap on the...

With an assumed stock tank, I'm guessing you shortened your wheelbase by an inch or two so it would clear the tank on uptravel..

Are you commited to the 8.8? A Dana 44 is imo, a better axle. Or just find a junk yard 35 and swap it more easily. Never too early to do an SYE, you’ll need to do your axle swap and then order your ds after measuring. You can set your pinion angle with double or single adjustable rear...

Where is your diff breather?

It’s got 100k, built with cheap parts, and not a not much invested in his effort to post it for sale. My biggest hang up is the fact of no underside/frame shots. Could be a total disaster or miracle under there.

For a dead ass simple trail door, you can weld steel skins to the Bestop soft lowers. PSC sells them, or used too. I’ll check if they are still around. It comes out really nice imo, and you get to retain the shitty Bestop latch. I’ll order some skins this month, find my Bestop lowers, and see...

You’re best bet is to start over with a bare surface and polish it or paint it again. If it is indeed plasti-dipped, you should be able to grab a loose corner and start pulling it off the surface like you’re removing a giant sticker. A plastic razor blade would be my go-to tool to help.
