I had this same issue and it ended up being due to worn out motor mounts that allowed the fan to start hitting the bottom of the fan shroud. Fresh motor mounts put it back where it belonged.

I finally got around to replacing my driver side cushion yesterday, I'd say it was long overdue! I'm riding high again.

No joke, the Smittybilt XRC front bumper on mine has completely negated the 1.5" lift springs installed. These are items I'll eventually upgrade, but for now it's doing it's job, but yes it's fugly.

All of the above advice is gold. I had a similar crank no start situation that ultimately ended up being a loose connection at the ignition coil, pulled connector apart, cleaned it, reconnected and that was it. My advice, do the above from easiest to hardest. In my case I didn't check that...

You're more likely to find an item like that on eBay, or finding a part out of a TJ with a 2.4 motor through FB. Could also check if there are any Jeep specific junkyards on your area. Not to say you won't find a member on here to help you out, but you'll cast a wider net with the above...

Pretty much sums up why I have trust issues with my vehicles being worked on by anyone but me. You'd think an oil change would get done properly at a place that specializes in doing them, but those places are notorious for all sorts of shenanigans.

One other tip for engine bay detailing, once you're done with the wash, use either a high powered leaf blower or an air compressor to blow out as much of the moisture as you can from all of the crevices and especially any wiring, distributor, spark plug holes, etc. That could be the difference...

Too late now, but when cleaning an engine bay it is best to cover sensitive electronics with a grocery bag or something similar. Alternator, battery, distributor, coil, PDC, PCM, I'd try to avoid moisture on all of those items.

My headlight switch was having similar issues where I'd pull out the plunger and the lights would come on, but would occasionally turn off until I messed with the plunger a bit. I replaced the switch with this unit I got off Amazon and all is well. Standard Motor Products DS357 Headlight...

The brakes are brand new, just replaced this year. It looks like I caught it quickly enough that it never got on the shoes.
