Where is the best place to connect for a LED lightbar?

X2. All of my LED lightings is wired to the battery via a relay. Doing it in this configuration allows the relay to take the load of the lightbar and not the switch.

Washer fluid leaks from the cap when level is high

Got to thinking about this one and came up with the concept of cutting out a piece of rubber the interior diameter of the cap. the rubber could come out of an intertube from a tire. Wondering if that would work, they are not expensive to get. Cut the rubber from the intertube, then glue it down...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Installed a Smittybuilt X20 10000lb wireless remote controlled winch. Didn't like the hook and had a thimble installed instead.

What did you do to your TJ today?

Agreed! I definitely noticed a more robust and faster start up time. With the oem wiring, when I turned the key, it acted and sounded like I was asking it to do me a favor or something by starting up......lol. But now when I turn the key, it fires right up with a "giddy-up, let's go" type of...

What did you do to your TJ today?

I was able to install some custom battery cables to my battery. I purchased the jeep wrangler wiring set and had everything installed in about 90 minutes. It took longer to get the oem cables out of my TJ than it did for the new stuff to install. Have to say, the new 2 gauge cables and...

    Unknown wire harness

That post contradicts the previous post......... Heisenberg says that all TJ's have the same wiring harnesses (post #18), now we are hearing in post #19 from T Crawford that the TJ wiring harnesses are different. SO, are they all the same or are they different?? Kinda confusing.

What did you do to your TJ today?

Installed 03-06 seats in my 01 TJ. Once installed, they were lower sitting in the jeep but had some 1" spacers and went to hardware store to get some longer bolts and that did the trick. Next are the seat covers due in next week.

    Unknown wire harness

You need to remove the switch panel first then once behind the panel, you be able to see the cover that's there where the switch would go. Now, on that blank are some tabs at the top and bottom that simply need to be gently pryed away and the cover should fall back and away from the panel...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Yes, it does have some but not enough to make it miserable. They are minor. Just enough to feel that the motor is running. Heck, my stereo drowns out any noise from it.

Just installed the Daystar 1" body lift kit and the 1" motor mounts. Feels really nice compared to all those rubber bushings.

Savvy transfer case shifter cable install?

Well, I installed mine yesterday and it went ok. I did remove my skid plate but not the driveline. I used some duct tape on the bolts to help hold them in place till I could get under the jeep. The tape trick worked, it allowed me to get the nuts started just enough to finger tighten them then I...
