    Fabricated 9s build

Started the parts collection to build some fabricated 9s for the LJ. Where I am hung up is do I go with a factory-style super duty inner c and knuckle combo or the fabricated inner/outer knuckle combo? Full Hydro or Hydro assist? Some street driving but not too much. Occasional drive to work...

Muddy Tuna My 05 LJ build

Yes external sleeves, Clayton truss, Artec c-gussets. A lot of work but less than 1/2 of what an upgraded housing would have cost. Trying to find ORIs in stock but coil-overs will be ordered within the next week or so if I can't find ORIs.

Muddy Tuna My 05 LJ build

I need to update this more often. The little bit of stretch turned into 7" in the rear and close to 2" up front. Not alot of visible progress but there's been a ton of measuring, moving, cutting, cycling, axle in, axle out, drilling, and more measuring. I have cut the front housing up to...

Muddy Tuna My 05 LJ build

I made some good progress this weekend. Dropped the transfer case skid and the gas tank to gain more access also removed the factory exhaust. I was able to get the rear axle stripped of all the brackets, the Genright Adult jigsaw puzzle 4-link bracket kit welded up. Had a buddy help me get...

Muddy Tuna My 05 LJ build

I also received my Motobilt High Line Fenders with 2" flares and got them on for some pics. The tire pic is roughly at ride height, there is a lot of extra room for travel.

    3-link / 4-link build questions

Its funny because I posted it and wasn't on the forum again until 5-6 hours later. I really wanted Mr. Blaine's input and was surprised when I saw he almost blocked me. Lol I was like WTF did I do

    3-link / 4-link build questions

So I am gathering parts for my 3-link front, triangulated 4-link rear. I have Genright frame brackets, Johnny Joints, and rear shock towers to outboard the shocks as well. My question is for the ones that have done this before do you start your build at full compression or ride height? I know...

Muddy Tuna My 05 LJ build

Holy Crap it has been a minute since I updated this build thread!! Well, here we go. First off, I sold the 44/9" combo to make way for some 9"/60 hybrids front and rear and put my original 30/44 back under the LJ. We made a decision to sell my wife's 2015 JKUR to get a more fuel-efficient...

    Jeep dogs

Here is Moab the Tuna Family Jeep Dawg. He is a German Shorthair Pointer/Lab mix, full of energy but the biggest cuddle bug as well. He has done awesome in the jeep. He usually lays or sits in the seat while we are moving but wants out as soon as we stop to play with the kids. He has a ton...

Are there other reasons to not go full hydro-assist?

I'm really interested in your thoughts. It was your comment " we never use full hydro" that piqued my interest.
