Nothing too fancy. I like a nice clean easy to read dial. This one is The Airfield by Bausele, Australian Air Force Centenary watch. Automatic with manual wind and it runs at plus 4 seconds a day.

Wiring the 42RLE overdrive for off by default

I just tapped into it. It was the white wire with green stripe. 2006 TJ. It's been working well since I done the mod.

Wiring the 42RLE overdrive for off by default

Like I said, it's all done and running fine. This is on a export RHD TJ, so if something looks strange, that's why. No longer do I have to press the OD switch every time I start up. I managed to pull the wires out of the connector, just had to insert a pin in and lift up a little tab that holds...

Wiring the 42RLE overdrive for off by default

I made a start today, I noticed that I have two white wires with green stripes in the loom. I put the multi meter on them and they both had power going through them when the selector was placed in reverse and no power in any other position. So I just chose the wire with the most slack and cut...

Wiring the 42RLE overdrive for off by default

Here is a couple of pics of the wires and connector of the OD switch in a 2006 TJ, Export. In case anyone's interested. I haven't done the mod yet, just wanted to see what it looks like for now.

What did you do to your TJ today?

I just replaced mine with a Fenix Radiator, Fenix number: JEEP1682-PA32A. They are like the Mopar ones with plastic top and bottom tanks. So far it's going great. I'm in Australia but I think Fenix is in NZ.

What did you do to your TJ today?

Yes. Some of them changed slightly over the years. They are from the 2006.

What did you do to your TJ today?

Replaced the radiator today, can't get Mopar ones here in Australia, so went with the Mopar replacement type. Plastic tanks and aluminum core. The only problem I had was one of the quick connectors was leaking when I started up. I have a 2006 auto. So I cut off the hoses and replaced the...

    Wrangler TJ Radiator Replacement

I am replacing my radiator and have to swap over the transmission line connectors to the Mopar quick disconnect style as I have an 06. How tight do I need to do up the quick disconnects into the radiator, they screw onto rubber O rings and I don't want to screw it up and damage the O rings...

Replacement door straps that can be installed without taking off metal door bracket

No, I don't have any dogs, but the neighbor can't work out why both his dogs lost their collars on the same day!

Replacement door straps that can be installed without taking off metal door bracket

I use small dog collars, you can adjust them so the door opens as far as you want. I've had these on my TJ for several years. You can see the original strap, I've threaded the dog collars through them, just so I know where they are if I ever need them again.

Why not use a padlock for a hood lock?

I know this thread is a bit old, but anyway. I just added the padlock to my hood latch. It was the cheapest easiest option for me. I have the AC cooler and the lock doesn't make contact, it can't swing in that direction. I also painted the padlock black to try and make it blend in a bit. I made...
