A buddy of mine had one at his house for free. Any chance the splicing of the fuel pump could have caused this?

Fuel pump was from a newer Tj. I was told it would need spliced in. Also, how do I go about getting the CEL cleared?

I haven't had the code cleared. It will pop on and off at random times. It stays on around 90% of the time though. The fuel pump was spliced in because it came from a newer model TJ though
