I decided to document the install of the Savvy modular under armor on my 2005 LJ Rubicon to show the issues I ran into and how I worked them out. This write-up is not intended to be an instruction manual: the install of the MUA is pretty straight forward. As a result of the install, several...
We've all been a newbie at one point another, so take this with some salt. Occasionally I see one of those "n00b" questions that makes me laugh out loud. Today was no exception, check this one out:
How could you not laugh?
What about you guys? Let's hear some of the funniest posts you've...
I'll just leave this here...

The wobble.
Anyone who has driven a Jeep for any length of time most likely knows all about the wobble.
That wheel shake, almost a violent one, which seems to show up out of nowhere after hitting some sort of bump or pothole, or sometimes following a hard press on the brake pedal.
Mike Kelly...
Not my type of movie by any means. But I see that now they are putting gay scenes in Disney's kids movies. Looks like they really want the kids to know.

Saw this today on the news. So he's their first transgender cop... I have no issue with whatever gender you want to be. However, why are these people congratulating him for it? In this day and age, apparently we need to congratulate people for anything and everything. I just don't get it, we're...
I acquired a pair of Dana 44 rear axle shafts quite unexpectedly. I had gone across town to pick up the tires and was loading them into the back of the TJ when his friend asked me if I was running a Dana 44 on the rear. I told him I was and he told me to not to leave until he got back. A few minutes...
Im not very good at explaining how I do things, so I will try and give you guys the basics thta was done to make this install complete.
1st off let me tell you the only thing that will bolt/plug right in, is the tranny and vent hose. I believe just for a 97-98 TJ jeep wrangler. Before I started...
Having a pair of live axles in your Wrangler means you can tackle trails and get ruff without the fear of breaking much, but having a live axle means having a track bar. The track bar centers the axle at all times, keeping you and your rig going down the road and over obstacles. In this article...
Leaf Springs vs. Coil Springs
Leaf spring suspension is among the oldest form of suspension design. A series of steel plates are staggered and braced together to form an arc. The arc is positioned below the axle and both ends attached to the frame. The main advantage of a leaf spring suspension...
My TJ has been on the road for just under 8 years now and although the vents still blow cold air, I can tell it's not as cold as it once was.
Since my A/C was blowing cool air, I expected no major problems with the system. If I had a significant leak of any kind, there would be no cool air at...
A fairly common modification for us Jeep Wrangler TJ owners is the addition of front or rear lighting on the vehicle. When doing this, you'll have to add a relay to the circuit to control the higher wattage lights. The stock wiring on a Jeep Wrangler TJ is simply not up to the task of...
What do you guys think about this? Is there truth to it?

I've always been in the habit of letting my vehicles warm up in the morning, simply because they shift better when they're warm for some reason.
Can anyone who has ever done the ball joints on a TJ before confirm whether there adapters are actually needed or not?

While changing the rear main seal, I took a look at the timing chain. It flexed just over half an inch which, according to the factory service manual, means it's up for replacement. All in all about 4 hours.
Hardware:
Mopar Timing Chain
Mopar Camshaft Gear
Mopar Crankshaft Gear
Mopar front...
