Banks Turbo Tune in a Wranglerfix PCM

Thanks Mike! I also have a 2005 Wrangler Rubicon with the auto 42RLE transmission. I can also confirm the WranglerFix PCM works with the DiabloSport inTune i1000 to install a Banks tune. This is huge! I was expecting to need an engine swap (or at the very least, remove the Banks Turbo Kit) when...

Banks Turbo Tune in a Wranglerfix PCM

thanks for the details MikeE024. What was the P/N of the PCM you got from WranglerFix? I just ordered and will try this out with my Diablo tuner once the new PCM arrives.

    ORO Swayloc Clunk

I thought I updated this thread, but I guess I was just having a private conversation with Mr. Bills. Ignore the zerk in these pics. That was just to get grease in there to test.

    ORO Swayloc Clunk

I was able to shim it with a beer can and get within acceptable tolerance, so I declined the offer to send a new one. I keep it greased weekly and made my own seals to keep the grease put. Regarding the grease, I carefully drilled and tapped a bolt myself and got the zerk to stay put. In the...

    LJ + CFX3 25 = <3

FYI, the Dometic CFX3 25 in an LJ is nearly a perfect fit. With handles and all.

    ORO Swayloc Clunk

Quick update. I took measurements last weekend. ORO told me the ID of the outer bar and the OD of the inner bar should be within 0.010". I measured mine at ~0.019" tolerance, nearly double the spec. I flipped the outer bar and think this reduced the delta to about 0.014". Improved, but still...

    ORO Swayloc Clunk

I’ll be taking this apart again to check tolerances. Steve agreed that there is more movement than he would expect. We want to check if everything is within spec and see if any particular component exceeds the tolerance.

    ORO Swayloc Clunk

FYI, I got a response from Steve for ORO via Facebook. He me forwarded his email response, but somehow the original didn’t make it to my inbox/junk folders.

    ORO Swayloc Clunk

Purchased through Northridge4x4. Sounds like you might be okay. I’m the only one that seems to have had this issue. They are a two man team from what the rep at Northridge told me. I’m okay with waiting. Still have my stock sway bar with disconnects that I can throw back on.

    ORO Swayloc Clunk

Yes, I’m on it. Northridge said they will reach out on my behalf to see if I can get it warrantied.

    ORO Swayloc Clunk

Unfortunately, the play is back. Only lasted ~30 miles. I’ve been unsuccessful getting ahold of anyone from ORO. No one answers the phone when I call and their voicemail box is full. Sounds like they may be short staffed currently. No response via email either.

    ORO Swayloc Clunk

5 miles later and still pretty tight. Already losing some marine grease though.

    ORO Swayloc Clunk

Nonresponse via email yet. I’ll drive it a couple days and call later in the week. I went through this, yes. I also went through Stu’s guide for the hub kit. This resource is incredibly helpful. Got the Black Magic brakes installed too 🙂. Thanks Blaine! The hub kit is so tiny...

    ORO Swayloc Clunk

Always greased, never ran dry. Anytime it gets clunky, I regreased. I have only about 200-300 miles since installing the Swayloc. I think I found where all the grease went-- inside and out all over all the sliding components. No visible damage or indicators that I could tell. I paid close...

    ORO Swayloc Clunk

Thanks. I’ll disassemble. I tried marine grease and it was great yesterday. However, 1 day later and the play is back.

    ORO Swayloc Clunk

The Swaylock is new (purchased in early June 2020). All the pinch bolts are tight. Greased up a ton when I installed it initially, and I've been greasing it a 1-2 times a week. It feels great right after greasing. But a few days later, I can feel it getting sloppy through the steering wheel...

Thanks for the tip. I’ll do that. 👍

    ORO Swayloc Clunk

Yes, I reached out to the vendor earlier in the week who told me to reach out to ORO directly—sent an email yesterday morning and waiting for a response.

    ORO Swayloc Clunk

Anyone else dealing with a clunk in the steering after installing an ORO Swayloc? Pretty disappointing. Greasing helps get it solid again, but I have to keep greasing this thing about twice a week with minimal driving. Everything is tight. I haven’t been off-road yet. Currently using a lithium...

What is the correct part number for a SKIM key?

I think I got pretty definitive results. I ordered Mopar Key (5018699AA) and it programmed with the DRB3 perfectly. Don't buy the the superseding part number: 5018699AB I tried 4 keys and none worked. Perhaps this is the reason others are running into issues with OEM keys lately.
