Is Rock Hard 4x4 rear tire carrier / bumper still the overall recommendation?

Blue Ridge Overland Gear. I purchased a second set of mounting straps so I can move it between my Jeep and my Sprinter as needed. https://www.blueridgeoverlandgear.com/products/tire-storage-bag-xl

Blue Ridge Overland Gear Tire Storage Bag Limited Run until 2/22/24

Those of us who use spare tire storage and trash bags have our favorite styles and brands. I started with a simple burlap sack lashed to the spare, tried military surplus canvas bags of various sorts, and have had a "Trasheroo" or two. In the end, my personal preference is the Blue Ridge...

Shrockworks 4X4 - Out of Business as of 14 January 2023

FYI - On 14 January 2023, Shrockworks 4x4 posted this on Facebook: "After two decades of serving the off-road community, it is with heavy hearts that we announce we have to close our doors. We assure you every other option has been extensively explored. This is the last outcome we ever...

    What gears do I want?

When I purchased my '06 LJ Rubicon with 42RLE transmission it was equipped with 315/75R16 tires ("metric 35's") and 4.88 gears. No vibrations, but it was a dog in OD. I experienced vibrations when I re-geared to 5.38 using the same "metric 35" tires. I replaced the front drive shaft with a...

    Antirock limits?

And the practical answer is that if you wreck the torsion bar you just buy a replacement and get on with life. We waste a lot more money on our jeeps chasing the "best" shocks, tires, control arms, bushings, etc. than the cost of a new bar.

New York KYB MonoMax Shocks - 2006 LJ (stock, no lift) - with less than 300 miles

Are these for stock suspensions or lifted TJ's? Specific part numbers would help you sell them.

    Don’t buy from Goreshnik

So he admits to being a shitty seller who never shipped product after being paid and who has little or no interest in the forums where he does "business," much less the effect his lack of follow through has on his customers. That ought to be enough for him to be blocked from the WTB and FS...

WTF? But a Mazada Miata, Triumph, or MG is safe?

Register the damn things in South Dakota. No smog checks, never have to take the car there, cheap too. Its an expat trick in Mexico.

    Flotation tires?

The distinction isn't that complicated. If you look at the sizes of the OP's tire illustrations you will see metric sizes and sizes in inches (31x9.5, 33x10.5, 35x12.5, etc.). The second group are commonly known as "flotation" tires even though they don't "float" any better than a metric...

Apparently FB is suffering some massive outage right now

The people I refer to rely upon WhatsApp for voice calls. For many in the world it is the only telephone access they have or can afford. We are spoiled living in 'Merica and all too frequently myopic to the circumstances of others in societies less fortunate.

Apparently FB is suffering some massive outage right now

I think most of us have alternate means of communication, but most of us reside in one of the richest countries on earth. Some don't have those options and they are having a hard time today. The greatest inconvenience for me is that I have a hot date tomorrow night with a woman who typically...

Bedroom community? El término adecuado es típicamente "colonia" o "fraccionamiento." Mis vecinos tambien son mexicanos. Nos vemos. :)

Apparently FB is suffering some massive outage right now

With all due respect, but calling Mexicans stupid for relying upon WhatsApp is what is stupid. If not stupid, then at least ignorant. Many Mexicans can't afford Telmex, Telcel, Movistar, etc. and WiFi service as well, and must choose one or the other. Many don't even have access to landline...

Apparently FB is suffering some massive outage right now

I can certainly understand the venom directed toward Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook, also the barely disguised glee that its servers are down, but here is another perspective on the outage: In many parts of the world, including but not limited to countries where the majority do not have or cannot...
