    Seat noise

I found them locally at Elliott's Hardware. The seat track rides on lower bushing. The only time I could see the top bushing being utilized is if the seat is heavily compressed and then it looks like the upper and lower make contact for additional support.

    Seat noise

I found them at a local hardware store. If you can locate something with these dimensions you should be good:

What did you do to your TJ today?

Did you have to do any wiring or did the USB plug into the same place as the cigar lighter?

    Texas Texas Jeepers!

Thanks! Yes, the grey clouds in the sky while we were at the Madera Canyon River Access site was that storm. We booked it back to the house and got the Jeep buttoned up quick. No where to escape the hail, but it was pretty small stuff and only lasted 5 mins or so. No damage luckily!

    Texas Texas Jeepers!

Was down at Big Bend with the family for Memorial Day week. Flat towed the TJ behind the wife’s SUV which worked great. Thought the Texas crew might enjoy the views: Lajitas Mesa in Background Lower Madera Canyon River Access Chisos Mountains Start of Grapevine Hills trailhead where...

Texas Need audio help with both TJs (anyone near Dallas, Fort Worth?)

Here’s the wiring diagram. This is for the harness that would go in between the aftermarket radio and the TJ’s factory connections. I can’t help with troubleshooting the cut out or amp wiring unfortunately. I did an install on mine recently, but it was plug and play components: Head unit...

    Rear drum brake replacement

I believe Jerry posted this originally, it’s a photo of everything properly assembled. I kept it for reference: Then when it came time to do mine I realized since I have a Ford 8.8 rear axle that the picture wouldn’t be of much help. I asked the mechanic to take a photo of the 8.8 for...

Audiophiles, teach me on audio settings

Thanks for all the replies and info. I didn’t install the remote adjustment because the head unit offers a similar adjustment. Should I hook the remote up a first time and set it at a certain level or if never plugged in does it affect anything? I haven’t gotten to play with too many settings...

Audiophiles, teach me on audio settings

Resurrecting this thread. I recently installed an Alpine head unit and Rockford Fosgate speakers in the front as well as the sound bar. Over the weekend I plan to install the Rockford Fosgate PS-8 8" powered sub under the rear seat. I've gotten some good info from this thread but have a few...

Confirmed that 15 is the radio fuse on a 2000 Sport.

Can anyone confirm radio fuse location?

Thanks that tells me that they are different between the years as the other image shows it in a different location.

Can anyone confirm radio fuse location?

Thanks. Unfortunately I don’t have the sticker near the glove box panel or an Owners Manual. I did find this photo that says it’s from a 2000, but can’t confirm. If they stayed the same across the years it wouldn’t matter but couldn’t confirm that either!

Can anyone confirm radio fuse location?

Installing an amp that goes inline between the factory harness and the head unit (Alpine power pack). Installation says OEM radio fuse needs to be 15A or higher. I looked at FSM, did some googling and searched here. That got me to the radio fuse likely being 10A and it likely is behind the glove...

What did you do to your TJ today?

The VDP (Vertically Driven Products I think) soundbar came with the mid’s and high’s installed. They were junk and I swapped them out with some Rockford Fosgate one’s. No amp and sub, just a Sony headunit, but I have an Alpine head unit and power pack on the way. It’s a clean sound with some...

What did you do to your TJ today?

Changed the rear seat from tan to black with a seat cover from Corbeau (to match the front black sport seats) and reinstalled all the hardware and seat belts. I had taken everything out when I did the Bed Tred install and liked it without a rear seat as a daily driver. Now that it’s not a...

Glad you and the Jeep are safe! Tailgate doesn’t look too bad. Was hard not to chuckle at your vivid description. Sometimes when crazy stuff happens like that as long as everyone’s ok you just have to chalk it up to a learning experience and walk away knowing that you’ll never do that again!

Need some 'family' input - sorta long winded, though

If you put that picture up to your ear you can hear Seals & Crofts coming from the 8 track player!
