    Stutter/Stalling Issue

I've been experiencing a random stuttering and sometimes stalling issue with my Jeep. As I said, the issue is random. I haven't been able to replicate the issue all the time. It does seem to come mostly when the Jeep is accelerating from stop, like when taking off when a light changes green...

Are Front And Rear Rubicon Lockers Interchangable?

I have to replace my the locker in the rear of my Jeep. I was looking at used lockers and can only find front factory lockers. My question is if I purchase a front factory locker, will it fit in the rear axle w/o any modifications?

Driveline or Tire Noise Coming From Center or Front End After 20 Minutes of Freeway Driving

Diff oil is good. I other day I feared the noise was the gears in the front axle getting hot and making noise after the highway. I drained the diff to see how much oil was in there and it was a decent amount. The leak doesn't seem to be too bad. I then refilled the diff.

Driveline or Tire Noise Coming From Center or Front End After 20 Minutes of Freeway Driving

I should probably also note that there are no vibrations or shaking felt while this occurs.

Stays the same regardless of RPM, but does change with speed.

Driveline or Tire Noise Coming From Center or Front End After 20 Minutes of Freeway Driving

The past few days I've noticed a grinding/growling noise coming from the front end/center of the Jeep. It only happens after driving at highway speeds (65-75mph) for about 20 minutes. If I put my foot on the clutch while driving the sound is still there. Once I get off the highway and I'm...

Rubicon Express Superflex Lower Control Arm Bushing / Joint Part Number

So, I have a confession to make and my ego isn't too big to not make it. I posted this before actually putting a wrench on it. Turns out the bolt was a little loose. Tightened her up and it's all good now. Sorry for wasting your time. @ArmyRN you were right, sometimes you just have to play with...

Intermittent Stalling When Taking Off After Idling

Forgot to mention that after stalling/when I blip the throttle and the check engine flicker, the gas gage will read empty and usually slowly return to it's correct reading.

Intermittent Stalling When Taking Off After Idling

I've been having a stalling issue with my 2005 6 cylinder manual Jeep. It happens when I am taking off from a stop. Usually when I have been sitting at a light with the engine idling for a few minutes. The engine will power will cut out immediately and the check engine light will flicker on but...

Heat shield material under fuel injectors

I replaced my heat shield with this after suffering the dreaded cylinder 3 heat soak misfire issue. Haven't had any issues since. https://www.designengineering.com/97-04-jeep-4-0l-i6-fuel-rail-injector-cover-kit/

Rubicon Express Superflex Lower Control Arm Bushing / Joint Part Number

Unfortunately, I don't know the extent of the damage. The Jeep is my daily. I can't take it apart to see the damage and then wait to get a part to replace it. If I replace the whole joint assembly, does the process include wielding? I've searched all over for a write-up or video explaining the...

Steering Bump / Firewall Boot Play

For as long as I've owned my 2005 Jeep (since 2017) I've noticed a slight bump in the steering wheel. Mostly when taking turns. While inspecting for possible culprits, I noticed that there's a bit of play in the boot (I'm sure that's not actually what it's called) where the steering column goes...

Rubicon Express Superflex Lower Control Arm Bushing / Joint Part Number

I know most of you are going to tell me to not even bother replacing the bushing and to just switch the control arm to (insert brand here). Financially, if I could, I would but right now I can't. I was hoping someone could tell me the part number I need in order to replace the bushing that is...

What is this and do I absolutely need it?

I found this dangling between the back of the engine and the firewall. Unfortunately the back other side of it melted due to being up against the engine. What is it and what does it go to. Looks like some sort of ductwork.

Heat Only Work When Engine is Revving

It's actually gotten cold enough in Southern California that I've needed to put the heat on in the Jeep. Unfortunately, the heat only blows out hot water when the engine rpms are higher. If I am sitting at a light with the engine idling, the cold air will start to blow out. I've also noticed...

    TJ sputters while accelerating

I was having this same issue and I found that the timing chain had a slight bit of slack in it. I replaced the timing chain and the issue went away for awhile. The issue is back again, though. Rick, did you ever figure out your issue(s) ?
