I regretfully sold my 99 TJ last weekend. So as I was cleaning up, I found my 99 TJ service manual. This is the full service manual. I don’t need it so I’m taking offers. It has no pages torn, and in great shape
I went out this morning and hit the key and with no hesitation it fired right up. No hesitation at all. I checked the old FPR when I replaced it and there was some debris inside that came out like sand or grit.
I just finished the fuel pump replacement. I only replaced the pump and FPR. Kept the original sending unit and housing. It was extremely easy! The hardest part was getting that darn ring back on and aligned to tighten. I did find out during disassembly that the filter screen was just lying on...
As far as the pump assembly, the pump, FPR and the strainer are replaceable, the rest is plastic and if the tank wasn’t dry for a long period of time then the plastic components should be okay to seperate. It’s still 50/50 on damaging the plastic housing
Mine just skips after initial startup and while driving for the first little bit. So I thought since if I had to drop tank to replace FPR I might as well replace pump at the same time
I guess I am more confused. The kit I bought was the Bosch fuel pump (pump and filters only) and it came with a new fuel presssure regulator. But some say the pump alone can be changed without replacing the entire unit. I know the FPR can be replaced easily. Just don’t know whether the pump...
It’s the one that is curved I believe on the driver side rear. It can be seen in the picture with all the foam. It was taped back with gorilla tape and I will glue it together before it is shipped
I searched and could not find an answer. Is it possible to just replace just the fuel pump without replacing the entire unit on a 99 TJ 4.0? I would rather just replace the pump by itself and the FPR and that’s it. If anyone has done just that let me know the steps and challenges
Never mind! I just looked online and found out those plastic wedges belong on the straps. I called O’Reilly Auto Parts and they will be here tomorrow and we’re only like $37 with my business discount!
I got the tank dropped this morning. About 30 minutes start to finish. Soaked the nuts/threads with ATF/acetone mix last night and came apart easier than I thought it would. So now I have a couple of follow up questions. The strap nuts snapped off the threads. Is there an easy fix without buying...
I did a quick search and could not find a definite answer so I need to ask. My 99 TJ 4.0 gas tank skid plate is rusted and I have a replacement. Do I need to completely drop the tank just to change the skid?
I am selling the rear rollbar padding. All zippers work as they should. Have seatbelt cover as well. One foam block was broken when taking out of storage. Taped back with no problems. Cover is black. I would like $70 shipping included from 41056. Or you can make offer
I am trying to find a Crankcase vent hose for my 99 Wrangler 4.0. Tried local A/P places and nothing. Even tried to find straight plastic tube and heat/bend myself and they don’t even sell that!
I replaced the harness from under the driver side back to hardtop plug, I also replaced the harness from driver side that included the switch harness. Both were OEM used harness'. The wiper works perfectly. When I push the defrost button the relay clicks once. It doesn't click off and on...
