Been chasing down misfires and injector circuit codes, feels like I'm just chasing my own tail. I've pretty much come to the conclusion that the ECU on my 98 is failing. Has anyone tried SIA Electronics for a ECU diagnosis and repair, or should I stick to WranglerFix?

Does the ECU for the 4.0 also have the 5 speed manual?

Thanks, I actually ended up finding a seperate set of instructions before I saw there was a reply to this thread. One thing I can't figure out is the bypass valve, the top port gets hooked into the manifold tub to read boost, but the other port I'm not sure of. does that just release unused...

Any help?

Hey everyone, I recently acquired a used boosted tech supercharger kit for my 98 4.0 Luckily the kit came with every bolt needed to bolt it up. So I have it bolted it up now and now I don't know which vacuum lines go into which port, the instructions I got from boosted techs website simply say...

The idle was still sporadic, I cleaned the throttle body and Idle sensor. Still idles sporadically, so I guess my next move is to realign the intake manifold and hopefully get it lined up correctly.

Update.. I removed the fuel injectors, cleaned them up and changed all the o-rings, cleaned up the manifold holes also in case there was debris or anything in there. Fired it up and haven't gotten a CEL and no codes showing on my scanner but it still idles a bit high at around 800 and sometimes...

So I recently replaced my exhaust manifold, put everything back on and made sure that the intake manifold what seated correctly and as it should be. Cranked it up, it idles just fine, and even drove to fill her up. Just yesterday I replaced the entire exhaust after the cat then afterwards let it...

Sorry for not posting any pictures, but some TJ's came stock from the factory with 30 inch tires, I would put at least put 31s on 2 inch lift.

Wow, I posted this while on break at work yesterday and I appreciate all the responses, I'll definitely check the inner boot and replace it if necessary.

Seems like if I'm on the freeway for a 15+ miles the transmission tunnel gets VERY warm. Warn enough that a cold drink will quickly turn room temp in the cup holder, is that normal? I was thinking of putting some dynamat under the carpet over the tunnel hoping it would reduce the heat. Am I just...

My door surrounds had them when i had my soft top. I didn't realize i needed them for my hardtop also, that may explain why water gets in when i wash the jeep.
