Has anyone ever swapped axles from Rubicon to Sport and Sport to Rubicon?

No check engine on the rubicon although without lockers, the switches no longer work of course. We used the old locker switch location to put in a light bar switch so nobody thought so try to use lockers that weren’t there. The 4wd indicator didn’t swap across with the tcase swap. I don’t recall...

Has anyone ever swapped axles from Rubicon to Sport and Sport to Rubicon?

If you also swap the tcase, swap the drive lines as well and you don’t have to worry about making any mods to them as everything will be the correct length on both jeeps. Just did this exact swap a few months ago. The only issue we ran into was the rubicon was an auto and the sport a manual. We...

Daily Driver, Go Where I Want To Build

I blew a braided front brake line that had been rubbing on my spring. It was on a long steep decent with several multi-point turn switchbacks. My gearing was low enough that I could crawl down without brakes but when I'd get to the switchbacks, I'd set the e-brake going into the corner. In low...

    Rear Rubicon Locker Won't Disengage

Does anyone have any good reference material on pulling the locker? Youtube video or somewhere they've seen it on this site?

    Rear Rubicon Locker Won't Disengage

Much appreciated. It's not in use at the moment but if we pull it out, it won't hurt to keep the option of using it. We were planning to just get rid of it to keep things simple but that looks easy enough.

    Rear Rubicon Locker Won't Disengage

There was one moderate size chunk that was clearly axle - maybe half an inch. A few very small pieces. Nothing to suggest the LSD blew and nothing in the differential itself that would have suggested the LSD blowing either.

    Rear Rubicon Locker Won't Disengage

No - the locker was never removed / replaced. Is it possible to access the locker to clear it up without impacting the setup of the ring and pinion?

    Rear Rubicon Locker Won't Disengage

My friend has a set of Rubicon axles in his TJ with the factory air lockers (independently wired, not factory switch). He broke a rear axle shaft our last trip out (broke where the splines start). We took the opportunity to swap out both shafts to Revolution when replacing the broken one and all...

    Colorado Krew Hangout

Ran Chinaman’s today. Minimal snow. Some of the melting snow makes it a touch tougher than when dry. A big puddle in front of the whale tail made it slick to get up the middle or left line. Some mud climbing out of the little drainage. All in all nothing too bad. You all should have a good day...

I don't know that you underestimated the value, definitely the cost!

I'll give you $2500 for the wheels if you leave your tires on them ;)

I'll likely be out there and run Chinaman the weekend before (3/27 or 3/28).

Already has a 44 on the rear. Just looking to upgrade the front.

Anyone know of someone that is selling a 44 front (preferably with 4.88s and a locker already)? My neighbor is looking for one.

Do you think the flutter stack makes the most difference on really small stuff (eg concrete expansion joints) or the bigger? If you didn’t have it, would you likely run a lighter setting on the adjusters?

Correct. About 15 mi south of Fairplay. It hit about 20 below from just south of the Trout Creek summit and hit the low point maybe 5 mi past Antero junction.

G Got a foot of snow in BV yesterday into this morning. Chinaman is probably tough. Light powder so it’s settling fast. Should be lots of snow to play around four mile though.
