    34R or 34 a safer battery

Would a 34r be a better choice than a 34 battery? Or even better a 34r/78? I don't understand why Jeep put the positive terminal near the hood and fender.

    Dry/rusty front axle u-joints

Has anyone had problems with 5-760x u-joints losing the grease, getting rusty and failing? I'm considering the u-joints with needle zerk grease fittings. Has anyone used grease fittings on each cap?

    Colorado Buffaloes

They are tied with last years win totals by beating TCU today. It is a very crazy story. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/38279763/inside-deion-sanders-roster-remake-colorado-football

Measurements for Currie steering and tracbar

I wedged all of that and it needs time with the press. The tracbar is almost touching the axle tube, the drag link is tweeked. The steering wheel is about 10* towards driver side. Or just wing it?

What the 4.0 could have been

In my opinion the 4.0 was a poorly thought out engine. The only thing I can think is it was all to do with emissions. There is a calculator on jeepstrokers.com that is pretty handy for working up combinations. I found that with a stock 4.0, zero decking and switch to a 0.040" head gasket gets...

    Tires and MPG

I bought my TJ about 5 years ago and always checked MPG. It is a 4.0, 42rle, 5.38 gears for the last 3 years and 4.10s before and MPG never changed. It had Dick Cepek mud 35s from the previos owner, then M/T Deegan 38s the same size. Every time I bought gas MPG was 10 +/- .2. I now have the...

    Building a 10,000 RPM Jeep 4.0

Very interesting for gearheads. I kept on seeing in my Youtube suggestions, but didn't watch it because the picture appeared to be clickbait. It is a multi video series of Jeep engine development and I am half way through volume 2 and hooked. I want one of those cylinder heads.

    Alternative to 5-760x u-joints?

My axles came with 5-760x u-joints and full circle clips. Three caps on one joint failed with low miles due to water in the caps. I tried to use full circle clips, but seems impossible to assemble with the seals attached to the joint body. Watching some videos on assembly with full circles...

Down mountain roads with 37' 5th wheel?

I'm leaving Woodland Park heading to Grand Lake today. I have pulled many trailers in the mountains, but not one this big. I'm pulling with a 2014 2500 GMC Duramax and curious what max RPMs when downshifting on a long descent? Any other tip very welcome and tag someone that is a seasoned...
