What's your next mod / upgrade / repair for your TJ?

I recently did the Currie currectlync steering and am loving it. It has been responsive, smooth, with no funny spots or wobbles.

What's your next mod / upgrade / repair for your TJ?

2006 LJ 136K miles - 42RLE work or replace..... flush coming next // then see what is broken and if a replacement is becoming necessary. It runs and shifts great most of the time but has been giving infrequent random P1776 (and P700) errors. Is sloppy and hard shifting once in while first to...

    Tips for replacing shocks

I soaked my bolts with pb blaster a day before. Needed a socket universal joint with the extensions for an easy flush reach. Fortunately mine backed out as they should.

Currie Antirock vs JKS disconnects: opinions and who has run both

For install I found these tools indespensible: the ball joint separater was a must, and, be careful, the old ones fly off with a lot of force when removing: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003YVWHOE/?tag=wranglerorg-20 this bit/die will cut the hole and thread for the stow away mount...

Replacement sun visor not fitting: what is going on here?

I ordered replacements, came too long, I shoved on them in on the posts and got them just right. Try it, they are just likely pulled out along their total legth some and can be “shoved” shorter.

    Need new shocks... Suggestions?

I just did 5000x shocks and steering stabilizer - they are great and the ride is very, very good. My stuff was worn out so there was a pretty drastic change in feel :)

Currie Antirock vs JKS disconnects: opinions and who has run both

You are comparing two very different levels of investment and performance, imo. I have the JKS and they work great for what they do. Connecting and disconnecting is no deal at all - airing tires up and down takes the bulk of prep time; the JKS connecting is literally seconds. Yes, relatively...

The Official Jeep Wrangler TJ Oxygen (O2) Sensor Thread

Thanks for this guide! I just replaced all 4 in my ‘06 LJ, along with new spark plugs - it is running so smooth and strong :). We’ll see if mpg changes. I got lucky and they broke loose easy with a half turn of the removal tool linked in the original post. After that they turned out easy by...

What are the best seat covers for my Jeep Wrangler TJ?

I have the Bartacts. It hurt how much they cost. Now that I have them, I find them worth every penny. These are like new, reupohlstered seats; they fit very snug and no bunching anywhere - really like brand new seats. The molle and pouches and built in zipper storage areas are fantastic. I...

    PeteJE’s 2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Thanks for words and links. I am loving this LJ! It puts a smile on my face very similar to my Triumph and Yamaha bikes (I ride 90% of the time, but lately decreased, lol). I debate proactively changing all the O2s, but at 134k, seems like a good idea - should I? Got the new BFGs 275/70 32s...

    PeteJE’s 2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Hi, New here - I acquired a 2006 Wrangler Unlimited, LJ a couple weeks ago. It has 2” coil lift and old BFG 33s (285/70r17). I am going to put basically 32s on it (BFG 275/70r17) just to get a little more wheel well and not to push the power/mpg or just push them slightly less. So far I added...
