    Grind into 2nd gear

To each his own. However my van is 15 years old and my jeep is 20 years old. Just because you had good luck with your 10 year old neglect on transmission fluid vehicles doesn't mean other people with 15/20 year old cars will. It's not shady shit lmao... or questionable websites. It happens man...

    Grind into 2nd gear

I It's not rubbish man. Lol I've seen it first hand. I have experience with old cars and not changing trannys fluid often. I learned from a 1500.00 rebuild bill. In my second /3rd old van Ive neglected changing trannys fluid but than only changed like 25% at a time. The van I got now is 15...

    Grind into 2nd gear

You may know alot @Jerrybransford my hats off to you but you are surely wrong about this. Like I said when you never change the transmission fluid the gunk and shavings form seals in the transmission and when you change the fluid after never doing it on an old vehicle all that loosens up and the...

    Grind into 2nd gear

Wrong advice my friend I know from experience that if you don't keep up with transmission fluid on an old vehicles than you change and not too long after the tranny craps out. Bc when you finally change all those shavings and gunk sealed certain parts in there and when you change the fluid it...

    Largest tires with 3.07 gears?

My 98 sahara is a 5 speed runs 33 12.5 R15 on stock Dana 35/ Dana 30. Ran like a top back in the day. Highway and mudding. Of course I had to downshift going up hills. I think regearing and heavy axles is only needed for serious off roading. Otherwise your just playing. If your mostly highway driving...

    Grind into 2nd gear

As I was searching around the Internet, I saw they make pumps that screw onto quart size oil . I'll just save the next one I use and clean it. I think I'm going to try to unscrew the filler and pump out a quarter and then pump back in what ever it needs. Since I haven't kept up with it, I don't...

    Grind into 2nd gear

So your saying when you pulled the drain plug only 1.25 quarts came out?

    Grind into 2nd gear

How did you drain the transmission fluid out bc I'm about to do that? Did you pump it out the fill hole? Or loosen up the drain hole just enough for it to come out slowly?

Another Newb Seeking Advice for a TJ

You will get more money when you sell it if it's a rubicon. I have a sahara. Standard is definitely good for mudding and rock crawling I would think. Sucks in highway traffic and the boat ramp. You should definitely go atleast 33's. From what I read i think it would be the minimum for rock...

    Clutch fluid

I was at O'Reilly auto parts today. For my chevy express van which I wrote about in another thread but had them quote me the master and slave clutch hydraulics parts. And they were about $50.00 each. So I might get around to swapping them out if the bleed and refill doesn't work. My jeep is 20...

Fixed rear break lights on 2003 chevy express

I know this is a Jeep forum. But my rear brake lights and high light were out on my 2003 chevy express 1500. I poked around the sockets and fittings with my continuity tester light and no power to brake lights with the brake pushed in. Of course I tried changing the bulbs first, wishful...
