Thats right , heat is ok, but too much can cause other problems. As Chris says , it is designed to run a certain temp, but too hot is not good for other items

My hood had i think its heat damage.It had small cracks in the paint mostly in the middle of the hood where its covered now. So it was gonna need painting if i didnt cut it out.

Thank you sir. I try to do things the right way. A good file will clean up the burs off the edge nice. It may be like cheating , I have been a custom knifemaker for 24 years now and that helps to have the right tools on hand. I have been in meta fabrication for 35 years now.

You can do it, all you need is a 1 inch hole saw and a 4.5 inch grinder with an abrasive blade. , and a little spray paint. Its easy.

I am not against the turbos , never had one , dont want one. I like simple.

I tried the silver looking foil wraps on the injectors and the fuel rail. None of that even phased the heat soak problem at all. The vent hood cured all my problems with that. Isnt it crazy how different things works on different vehichles.

It was very easy to do. It will work great off road to let out the extra heat while crawling around rocks and slow go terrain also.
