Just got back from a short 2 day . 650 mile roadie.....spectacular scenery down this area..

Had a long weekend so I took the Jeep and a mate up to the far north of New Zealand. First stop was a Kauri tree museum… These trees are huge second biggest in the world next to the giant redwoods. The museum showed how they felled and transported these giants from over 100 years ago.

Decided it was time I took a 2 day road trip , south towards the middle if the North Island, a small ski town called Ohakune, I detoured slightly and visited a vintage car wrecker yard over a number of acres then the next day did a 3 hour mountain bike trail.....I start the pics with the trip down.
