    Dana 30 to 44 swap

As far as I know, all Aussie TJ’s came with rear 44’s with 3.07 gears, I can’t recall what front diffs they had.

How to align your Jeep Wrangler TJ

I set the toe-in on my Jeep using the following method: - Raise the front axle high enough for the tires to clear the ground and place stands under the axle - use short wood or sheet metal screw and thread it into a tire sipe approximately center of the tread of each tire. - rotate tires until...

    Best serpentine belt

Goodyear Gatorback were the only belts that wouldn't squeal when running a York compressor on my old TJ

Has Anyone Installed a High Beam Foot Switch?

It would be really easy to wire up, just intercept the high beam wire in the headlight circuit and install the switch. Then leave the multi-function switch in the high beam position. In fact, if you did it that way, you’ll always have the option of using the floor switch or the factory switch

    Flush mounted tail lights

Hmmm. Never thought of the emission parts, mine was a TJ Unlimited so probably had a bit more space to work with.

    Flush mounted tail lights

If you do decide to flush mount the stock lights, be sure to fit the side with the tailgate hinges first to ensure hinge clearance. I did the non-hinge side first and got extremely lucky that the other side cleared the hinges.

    Flush mounted tail lights

Sorry no pics and the Jeep was sold last year. All I did was cut a hole big enough for the body of the light to fit through, cut off the screw “nibs” on the back side of the housing and use the screws that held the lens in place to hold the entire assembly to the tub. You will need the run a...

Where does the shift interlock cable attach at the steering column?

Ahh, that makes a lot more sense now. I’ve only had one Auto equipped TJ and while not positive, I don’t recall it having a shift interlock cable, I think it still had the little tab you pressed in order to remove the key. But like I said, not positive as I sold that Jeep in 2007.

Where does the shift interlock cable attach at the steering column?

I’ll bite, what does the shift interlock cable do on a manual equipped vehicle?

Gear pattern check and backlash questions

Everything turned out great, runs very quiet and smooth. I changed the fluid at about 500 miles then put another 5,000 miles on it before selling it to a buddy. I was wheeling with him a couple of weeks ago and he's had zero issues with the Jeep.

    ARB fridge vs Dometic

Don’t rule out Engel, I purchased an MT35 in May 2003 and it’s been running about 85% since then, a half dozen trips to Moab in 100 plus temps, about a hundred wheeling trips here in Alberta, across Canada, all over the PNW, hell, it probably has 100k miles on it and half that in an open top...

Ya had one little job, WTF?

Y’all are missing the real purpose of the fenders being out of square. By doing so, the leading edge of the fender is lower which forces the leading edge of the hood and grill be mounted slightly lower (they probably forgot to mention you have to cut the grill body mount in half to facilitate...

Is there something wrong with my Savvy under armor parts?

Can’t help with the fitment but if I was installing those pieces I would smear a healthy coat of grease on the inside of the brackets where they contact the frame to keep rust at bay.
