    Tyson vs. Logan

Money sham. Pure 'entertainment' is what Im thinking this will be. But I also can't see Tyson giving up his legacy to this little pee-on of a lucky social media influencer. Both will surely make a lot of bread. My point is that at the end of the day the YouTuber has nothing to lose. Tyson does...

    $25,000 TJ

Sharing this with the gang here on the forum. Looks like a really nice 03'. But is it odd that there's a transfer case drop when its got a Tom Woods aftermarket shaft and a SYE? Plus the drop pitman arm often seems to be a 'no go' for many TJ owners, so maybe its like the old saying, "every Jeep...

Best frame coating treatment for rust prevention?

@JMT I used the Eastwood internal stuff once too. But I believe what you're planning to do to "dissolve" or remove the rust particles out of the frame, followed by coatings of FF (or other lanolin product) would be just fine. No Eastwood needed, really.

You truly have not enjoyed music

As a Hispanic, this is funny but also still annoying. And something that often happens where I live. Not just for birthdays —anything could set off a loud musical celebration. I get your frustration. You just gotta do what my brother did and move away from people as far as possible, onto a 10...

    Painted Wheels

DIY rattle can painting wheels, typically looks gaudy, IMO. They always flake or crack and look like cheap shyt. Those are looking better, the more you remove. I'd make life easier and keep them OG. Or have them blasted and powder coated professionally.

How much should I ask for my hard top?

Huge spectrum of opinions here has me very curious to know what OP nets on the sale. We can ask anything for any item. In the end, it comes down to what someone is willing to pay. OP might even get (lets just say) 2k if someone really, really wants a clean, tan top for their TJ. 🤷‍♂️

Wrecked my Jeep and seeking advice

Honestly, @mrblaine I was probably just lucky, but when my commuter (Ford Fiesta POS) was totaled March 2016, I was paid very handsomely by Liberty Mutual. I did however, negotiate their offer using receipts of recent work that I did to my car. Though, I do believe most TJ owners value their...

    Transmission noise

One of the reasons I swapped my NV3550 for an AX-15 was because of it's rattle-noisiness.

Wrecked my Jeep and seeking advice

As long as the frame is gold, rock it, don't stop. Wishing you the best. 👍 Either way it goes, TJ's are worth their weight in gold, so insurance will pay you nicely. You'll just have to be patient find the right one to throw money and into. It'll work out. And most likely for the better.

How much should I ask for my hard top?

Ya some of these asking prices are ridic, imo. I get it, inflation / demand. Whatever. Desperate is a man who'd pay $1,200 or more for a TJ hard top. Im w @TheBoogieman on pricing. Still, Id buy a new soft-top with these numbers.

How much should I ask for my hard top?

List it $100-$200 less than the competitors in your area, and unload it. If I have no use for something and its taking up space, it's worthless. Sell it, buy what you need, or invest. Done.

Jeeps Parking Next To Other Jeeps

Sort of a Jeep meet that I visited impromptu. JK's, JL's and a Gladiator. My TJ was home in the garage, because salt was at an all time high that week.

Swapping my old AX15 for a new one

You guys got it right. I think we're all on the same page. Of course we all down shift if say you're going up a hill and you see the RPM's going down and the Jeep slowing. Then ya pop it into the gear below. I honestly just think that the AX-15 is a clunky trans. Powerful but clunky. Sometimes...

Swapping my old AX15 for a new one

I can slide into first when Im slowing down but rarely do I do it, and only when Im creeping to a halt. From what Ive been told, it's not good practice to downshift. Guess it depends who you talk to, but this was explained to me by someone at Rockland Standard Gear.

    Help With Selling on Ebay

That's why I sound like an old man to a lot of people when I say, "just give me a call and let's discuss it". Because things are misread and information is digested differently depending on the persons attention span or ability to read. That is the sad truth. Could also be that people are very...

Swapping my old AX15 for a new one

Had my AX-15 since new from Rockland Standard Gear in NY. And 2nd gear has always been a little difficult to get into. But inconsistently. Sometimes easy, sometimes not. Less notchy and smooth, Ive noticed, when going up a hill and shifting into 2nd. Ran great w Pennzoil synchromesh, but not as...

    Chrysler 3.8 engine

Lasts a long time. Proven long-term engine. Best mated with a manual transmission. I wouldnt hesitate to rock a JK with that combo. People say they're awful with larger tires. I cannot speak on that. Surely gears would mitigate the slack.

    Help With Selling on Ebay

When this BS happened to me I told the buyer it was on him, since he made the "mistake" and admitted so. My listing also stated, "no returns", and I was still forced by ebay to return the item. The message I received from eBay was that if I did not except the return, they would refund him the...

    Help With Selling on Ebay

I went through this and havent sold on Ebay since. Though I will, its just that particular transaction really pissed me off. I described my item to the T, even including photos of every detail. The buyer ultimately admitted that he messed up and didn't see said detail. He requested a refund and...

Rust opinion: to cap or not to cap?

I think what @Wingback73 meant is that once you hit the metal with phosphoric acid, rinsing it with water shouldn't be a concern. Least that's what I deduced from it. But leaving it exposed long enough, for sure will result in rust. But the acid certainly mitigates it for some amount of time...
