Will a 42rle from a 2005 LJ swap seamlessly into a 2004 LJ? I know there are differences with the integrated TCM/PCM vs separate TCM & PCM in those years. Are the transmissions themselves physically the same though? Are the plugs/connections all the same?

I'm currently having a problem with my transmission shuddering when entering overdrive, and it sometimes goes into limp mode when overdrive is off. It shifts great between 1st and 2nd gear but always shudders as it's going into overdrive. Could this be multiple problems or just one?
