So have been having these issues since I bought my Tj back in 2014. The engine is getting air from somewhere besides the air intake and im not entirely sure where its coming from. I have taken the entire box apart as far as I can and didn't find any leaks whatsoever or any signs of where the air...

I installed inner fender, then the AC discharge line is blocking fuse box and air intake. I can't mount those with factory AC discharge line, only way to cut inner fender. If there has a straight or custom one will be better and easier. Thanks.

I may try to go look at this '98 TJ today and saw this in one of the pictures. It's got the stock filter box, but clearly a K&N tube on it. All the K&N CAI systems I've seen added use the cone filter on the end, so wasn't sure what this was. I've read enough to know to prefer the stock filter...

I just took this off my ‘97 and replaced it with the stock air box. The PO had installed it but i wasn’t a huge fan of making my Jeep so loud. I have a video of a cold start up as well for anybody interested. I’ll try to take off the CA air emissions sticker as well to include that.
