condenser studs

Hi all. I'm trying to replace my condenser. The new condenser from NAPA didn't come with the studs that the refrigerant lines bolt to, so I assume I have to take them off the old one. Anyone have any tricks on getting them off without boogering up the threads? I tried screwing both nuts on...
