jeep tj 1997

I was recently involved in a rear end collision and my drivers seat reclining mechanism failed . Has anyone successfully replaced this part or is the entire seat trash ?

Not sure how this happened but it did. I was planning on doing a clutch and flywheel job over the weekend. When I got under the jeep I noticed my driveshaft u joints were out of place and the bolt was completely shaved off. So now I’m having trouble taking it off any advice would help. Thanks
