This is my first post. I just purchased a ‘99 Wrangler and I’m looking for tires and wheels and I’m having a difficult time deciding what to get. Currently has 31x10.5x15 and a 3.5”-4” lift. It’s a 4.0 A/T with factory gears. I don’t like the look of the wheels or the size. I’d like to put on 35s but I’m thinking 33x12.5x15 will be best.

I found four wheels and tires Mickey Thompson Deegan 38 MT 35x12.50R15 Tire and Pro Comp 51 Series Rock Crawler 15x8 Wheel Package for $850. This seems like a good deal. Will anyone offer any input? Thanks!

I’ve attached a picture of my Wrangler.

Stick with 33’s. With 3-4 inches of lift, a 35 will looked stuffed and the proportions will look just as off as it does with the small 31’s on it.

Be aware that a move to 33’s normally is accommodated by a re-gear. 35’s, and it’s foolish to not regear the axles.

once you out the 33’s on, the Jeep will look much better than it does right now. Without a regear, you will notice a difference in acceleration and ability to maintain speed on inclines/hills.

It also depends on how you are going to use the TJ, and the reason you want the bigger tires!

If and how much you're going to wheel it etc.
