'03 Sport—Northern NM (Manhattan Project With No Secrets)

And the garage is getting crowded. They are multiplying! Mount and balance tomorrow, I hope. Work is a little nuts!

33x12.50-15 BFG KM2 on steel wheel weighed 85lbs.
35 12.50 15 MAXXIS RAZR MT on Fuel Anza weighed 94.5lbs.
Actually is a little less difference than I thought it would be.

Been working toward doing this for a while and a ways to go until its where I want it but...I'm stoked. Maxxix Razrs and new wheels in play!

Measured closely several times the past month or so but I may have lost my sh#t or shed a tear if it didn't fit.

I pulled front springs and cycled suspension yesterday. Full bump on both is all good, 1/4" of shock shaft showing before the rubber bumpers on the Foxes touch and no contact by tires anywhere. Full stuff, full lock both ways passenger side all good. Driver side not so much. I am all over the antirock link and frame turning pass. and frame and control arm turning driver. I expected at least some light contact but... this is significant.

For reference- front axle is centered at ride height (adjustable track bar).

Wheels are 15x8, 3.75" bs.
Tires - 35×12.50-15 Maxxix Razr MT.

These are wider than some 35 12.50 15 s but on my 8" wide wheels I still measure 12.5" . A couple of washers on the steering stops helped but did not gain enough clearance. So... 1.25" Spidertrax spacers are on the way # whs002. Not thrilled about adding spacers but, seems to be how I will alleviate this issue. I hope.

New speedo gear went in the other day and got it back to a reasonable reading after being about 10mph off after the re-gear.

Cycled and cycled. Re-centered front axle and going to run it sans spacers. Little rub on the antirock arm. But thats it. Hoping that that doesn't come into play. The free length of the Currie springs while appreciated for their benefits make them a pain to remove, but piece of mind of repeated cycling is there.

I didn't get too many shots of the real obstacles since we ran with only two (one once @aslin006 ran into electrical issues) and were too busy driving and spotting on the couple of tough-ish trails. I took it kind of easy not knowing how the jeep would perform and camping with the families made it tough to meet up with the groups AND be "dad". I have vowed to have planned wheeling days with the groups next time and regret not being able to this past week but we had a great time and the Jeep did outstanding! The limiting factor being my nerve and running alone much of the time. We had a lot of fun though. Paying attention to what the Colorado Boys (@jjvw , @rasband , @tworley ) and Team America ( lead by @Apparition ) ran and their photos was awesome!

Started prepping and priming JCR halfdoors yesterday. Its my first real shot at painting anything automotive that is supposed to look good so we'll see. Good project though. I cleaned, sanded, cleaned, scuffed, cleaned and shot it with Eastwood 2k epoxy primer as a first phase.

I was finally able to make some progress on the JCR trail doors. I have definitely learned a lot in the area of automotive painting. They'll be mediocre at best from inside 10 ft. We'll see how they look in the light of day soon (overcast tonight)
Glad I took it on though. If they turned out too nice they wouldn't match the rest of the jeep!

Stock style mirrors on. Color looks dark in this light and I guess it is, but in other situations it looks really close. Oh well it is what it is for now!

Found this pretty cool spot on a trail close to home late this afternoon in search of more elk with the boy today. Enjoying Fall here.
