Trying to keep things on a budget, so it's turning into a bit of a Frankenbuild. But so far so good. Bought it last November, was pretty clean, 143k on the clock. Place I bought it from did RMS, new clutch, new AC compressor, new tie rod ends, and a few other minor things. Also put new tires on it, 30X9.5 inch General Grabber ATx.

My goal with it is 33's and reasonably capable off road. I could be convinced to drop to 32's if 33's won't fit without rubbing. Probably won't do rock crawling, I'm thinking mostly some overland trails and things like that.
So what I've done thus far:

1. New dash and double din stereo.
2. Rebuilt rear brakes, drum hardware was in bad shape. Flushed brake fluid completely as well.
3. Replaced spark plugs, Autolite APP-985
4. OME 2.5" springs. 2942 rear, 2933 front.
5. Rancho RS5000X shocks
6. Dropped the TC skid about an inch in response to the lift.
7. JKS adjustable rear track bar to center axle.
8. Lightly used Metalcloak aluminum double adjustable rear control arms
9. JKS adjustable rear sway bar end links.
10. Moog rear sway bar bushings.
11. New Bestop Sunrider soft top. Not their current model, it's an older one, but was still in the box, never installed. I also have a hardtop, in good shape except for some fading, it came with that.

Future mods

1. Refresh the front suspension like I did the rear. Ride has gotten better with each new component, but it's still "jittery". Those jitters get kinda bad at freeway speeds.

2. ZJ steering upgrade, maybe. I think my steering is actually fine, will reassess after the rest of the front end is replaced.

3. New driveshaft U-joints, just because why not. They don't feel loose, but are obviously old.

4. New wheels and tires. Initial goal was 33 X 12.5, but I'm still weighing my options there.

5. Regear, best match to whatever tire size I settle on.

6. Armor. Front, rear bumpers, skids, whatever. Maybe tube fenders up front. Winch for sure.

Here's current pics, will update as I go. I welcome any and all advice along the way.

Put a Currie adjustable track bar up front to center the axle. Nice beefy track bar with a Johnny Joint on the frame side. So far I like it.

Some cosmetic stuff on the front. Grill inserts, black headlight surrounds, and some cheap JW Speaker knockoff LED headlights. Much improved over stock. I know some don't care for the white/blue temp lights but I don't mind it.
